Now it is 158gm which was earlier 145gm if i m not wrong.
It is TOO HEAVY at 158g. I'll stick with the Diamond at 110g and much smaller sized than X1.
Dont forget E90 at 210g, N93 at 180g and N81 at 140g.

@mib
and the majority of the phone is metal, weighs a little more than plastic you know (diamond)
dont know if you can see it in pics or specs (seems you cant going by your comments) but the x1 one has a qwerty keyboard. diamond does not. i think if you add one to the diamond it would add more weight
when people make comments like you have just made mib, it annoys me. Come on, use a little common sense. (not just you, every one)

I also agree that x1, even at 158gm,is lighter for all that power under the hood.
What i m curious to know is why did the weight increase. It it that SE has added some more metal or some more hardware to it? |

I've read most if

This recent one is

Never mind with the weight -- I care most on size/dimension -- but let's hope the additional weight is worthed to its specs and performance.
I really need SEX1 in September, as it will be a birthday's gift... to myself.

Yeah right! P990 white paper says "animated wallpapers" and it's definitely not there even after two years. SE's claims in white papers mean slightly less than all the rumors here I'll believe it when I see it.
P990i: A mistake, a curse and a disgrace So I lowered my expectations and settled for a P1i. I couldn't keep my expectations so low for a long time so now I have an HTC Touch HD |

@norti,
Maybe you missed the recent Rim announcements of the Bold being released shortly and the new as yet unconfirmed spec Thunder. I would assume most of you that want an X1 want a Touch screen and the Thunder is such a beast. If it has the same or similar spec's to the Bold with a huge Touch screen as well as great Multimedia support i would consider that competition. As it will come with all you need for business and entertainment. Personally i think Rim's presence in Europe and just not for corporates is going to grow with their latest offerings and quickly to.

158g weight of x1 is good if you compare to a communicator. But it is too heavy as a multimedia or smartphone and will limit the market. |

Compare it with a N81. 18g more for a QWERTY, huge screen. I think thats justified

The guys who are complaining about the weight of a 158g phone really need to hit the gym. |

Why is everyone so happy again? Despite having more ram SE are still going to have problems with the software.

Because with the extra ram SE can solve the software problems maybe a little bit faster. |

If the 256Mb ram is really true then SE has a winner here. it's certainly one of the best devices with regards to hardware performance. if the hardware GPU would utilize at least 32Mb(leaving 224Mb on the entire OS itself) on the ram for 3D graphics then it'll be really very fast for rendering videos/3D imagery.

My sources tell me that the X1 will have, auto-rotating feature and a touch flo ui similar to HTC, this will be launched by pressing the hardware button that was ment for rotating the screen which at the moment doesnt do anything. |
