@vwbeetle, there is an application called "Jotter" that you can use to jot down notes and draw simple stuff (like directions). |

@arnoldc- thanks for the clarification, best to hold off buying in HK for the meantime till we are better informed. thought buying a P800 instead of P802 guaranteed it was not a chinese version even if it was bought in HK, whew
regarding the chinese writing recognition sw since it runs symbian os could it not be possible to uninstall that and to install a diff recognition sw to remedy that?

@vwbeetle, technically possible (just like windows). you unload the chinese o/s, the load in the latin one. however, i'm not sure if the software signature would prevent you from doing that. |

@*, here's the story...
Heard from Globe HUB in Robinson's Manila: "Globe does not want to release the P800 because they feel SE Philippines/Service Points (the actual word was "Sony Ericsson Service Center") can't support it."
My speculation...
The P800 is too technical to be supported by Globe's CSRs. Kung T68 nga lang hirap na sila, P800 pa. So, they will be banking on the support capabilities of the Sony Ericsson service points instead. And they feel, the service points are not ready.
In fairness, there's no official word out as far as Smart is concerned regarding the P800. |

As my post yesterday- the P800 is too HOT for globe to handle.

Yun lang ba ang problema ng globe? There's a one-word answer to that: esato. If they want another one-word answer: pseug (or more accurately, SE Mobile Philippines)

Very scary talaga ang labas ng P800 pati Globe natakot. Siguro nga ay nadala sila sa T68. Mabalasik kasi dating ng taga ESATO. Oppps... sori... hindi naman lahat. |
