Hello fellow W910i owners. New to this forum so go easy on me. Does anyone understand why the SEUS tells me I have the latest version but the first page of this post tells me different?
My phone has R1CA029 and I would like to get the '039 firmware to see if it fixes the random shutdown/red light problem.
My phone is branded T-Mobile if that makes a difference....and if it does how do I get the update because the guys in the T-Mobile shop just referred me to the SEUS as well which as I said does not work.
This is actually the second W910i as I swappped the first one becasue of the shutdown issue only to find the second one was the same.
All input gratefully received. |

Because carriers like to QA and brand the software that comes on their phones, they will upgrade to new firmware at different times.
As for the state of your phone, take it back and demand that you get one that was built after Week 44... if they play dumb, tell them they can find the build week on the back of the phone, behind the battery!

Might be stupid question, how can I see what week my phone has been manufactured? I'm getting new phone from SE tomorrow and I want to check if its old or actually new one.. (they said its brand new)..
I have been without my w910 quite a while already now.. |

I have a 1 month old w910i on 3 network in the UK;
Software version 1200-9129 R1CA029 070922
Build week 43.
I got several random shutdowns with lights on and red light on at the back. The only way to reset was to take the battery out. Tried to explain this to the so-called 3 technical help and was treated like a complete idiot.
Eventually I gave up and took it to the 3 shop who said that because I bought it by phone they couldn't exchange it only send it off - I reluctantly agreed - tried to explain the problem but the salesperson's eyes glazed over - to cut a long story short got the phone back 5 days later with a letter basically saying no fault found - and software still the same as above.
Needless to say it has failed twice since then.
Now they say that as the phone is more than 14 days old they can only send it for repair again. Am I going to go through this loop forever - feels like groundhog day to me! Nice phone when it's working though.
WTF do I have to say to convince these guys there's a problem? |

Guys! i just installed r1da038 from setool (work in a phone service dptmnt) and i get
jbenchmarkHQ: 447
jbenchmarkLQ: 473
huge improvement, both games run at 15fps
the phones media manager is faster with smoother animations and so far walkman button hasn't failed and equalizer keeps its settings
