I think that might have happened, when i open the file there is one Firmware folder and 5 other files, is that how its ment to be or is that decompresed? |

That means it's decompressed, you cannot use Safari, you have to use another browser such as Firefox as they will not decompress it. |

Or just tell safari "in preferences" to not open files after downloading.

did u manage to do it?, i restored mine and returned it i didnt think it was worth £269 for the functions it currently has, i did like the internet browsing via cloud tho, im just gonna use my k800, 80gb ipod classic and archos 605 for viewing movies. |

I downgraded it to 1.1.1 but when i open iNderpendence it says Unsupported version of itunes installed ,Detected Version 7.5.0

That's only if you bought it on T-Mobile in Germany. They're not going to unlock your UK O2 iPhone are they. Jeez, some people. |
