N95/N95 8G already have HSPDA.

Very soon even the novelty accelerator of K850 (auto rotate screen) will also be available for N95. Take a look at this:-

http://n95blog.com/cool-app-rotateme-on-the-nokia-n95/

N95 already have built-in hardware accelerator and now this software will interface to it and make the N95 like the iphone. Unlike the rudimentary K850 accelerator which only work when viewing pictures, N95 auto-rotate will work with the whole UI incl web browser!!!. real cool.

And with the rumour that next firmware of N95 will include the demand paging capability which will solve most of the "out-of-memory" error when heavily multi-tasking and hopefully also improve battery consumption. Now N95 original (which now cost very similar to K850) leaves the K850 even further behind.

One more question:

How do K850 & N95 perform about speed of:
- UI - navigating
- Camera - focusing speed
- Camera - Shutter lag
- Camera - Saving time @ 5MP

My K750 is quite fast when navigating th UI, fair when focusing, slow when saving.

Yeah with new uppdates to N95 firmware like this, the N95 is looking better and better, it does not just leave K850i behind, but also P1i.
Since now, with the N95, less memory problems

As a owner of P1i, and a few other SE mobiles, this is getting boring,
Well, I am a SE fangirl, and I don't want to switch after 5 years of only using SE.

Now I'm just waiting for SE to bring something good.

But so far, this year have been really boring from a SE fangirl view.

@fumi moon what a great comment from an se "fangirl" really fair one... as i see, that crappy uiq will lead to nowhere, se should give a try for sg else. s60 possibilities offer ( at lesat as i see ) far more applications and other useful things ( tons of third party ones too, next to generic nokia apps )

My opinion might be biased as I'm an SE fan so I'll use my friend's who has happily flitted between Nokia and SE for a few years now. He has owned an N95 from about it's second week of release and is disappointed with it. Not incredibly but slightly. He listed the battery life and time to save a picture as two of the biggest reasons behind the disappointment. The problem is that although it has bells and whistles it's only 'ok' at what it does. After seeing my K850 he is now on the waiting list for one himself.

My point is, ask yourself two questions..

  • How many people do you know (or storied have you heard of) who've tried the K850 then decided to get rid of it for the N95?

  • How many people do you know (or storied have you heard of) who've tried the N95 then decided to get rid of it for the K850?

Case settled.

Review on both cameras
The key points are
The Sony Ericsson K850i has been designed from the ground up to be more like a camera than a phone. Sure, it's got all the phone features you'd expect - tri-band HSDPA, quad-band GSM and EDGE connectivity, Bluetooth, Java, polyphonic ringtones, etc., etc. But it's the attention to detail that's been paid to the phone's camera that marks the K850i out as a class-beating camera-phone.

The N95 can be thought of as a jack of all trades, whereas the K850i is the camera specialist
The winner...
And so, to the winner - and it has to be the K850i, but only just. The quality, detail and naturalness of its images just shade it over the N95's.

Surprisingly, though, if you're looking to print the photos you've taken, the prints taken from the N95 end up looking marginally better than those from the K850i. However, it's generally a matter of taste, and anyone looking for a top-end camera phone really won't be disappointed by either phone.

the author of the post wants to know wheather he should go for n95
or k850.whats the point of posting how much days u get with ur k810.
this shows that you really want to bash the n95.please dont confuse people.

So that means that I can't compare my phone's battery (which is almost, if not, identical to K850's) with N95's?
And me, bashing N95? I, mean, seriously now, no less than you bash SE phones.

Without offence, this review just regurgitates the review of the SE-friendly reviewer at mobile-review.com

Look at the pict from the comparisons below. Pictures speak a thousand. words. There is no to need read witty (or otherwise) reviewer comment. It is quite obvious the N95 cam best the one in K850 as a whole.

It's like getting a mx-5 or similar (K850) or a Berlingo MPV or similar (N95). Bare with me on this crude analogy.

N95:
Great as an all rounder, lots of cubby holes, drinks holders out of your ears, move the chairs to make lots of space or carry loads of people, square shaped and seems to only come in silver.

K850:
Two seater, not so great for carrying the family, very little boot space, but very good at what it does (takes 5MP photos), beautiful, shiney and available in blue or green.

Both (all 4 including the cars) sell well, but I'd rather a K850 that goes like stink and is sexy as hell because I don't need 3 cup holders and built-in wifi.

All that high-tech hardware stuffed in the N95 and it's a soccer mom's minivan with "3" cup holders whereas the K850 with just a mediocre camera is a Lamborghini all because it's "shiney"!?!! What's the world coming to?! lol

I didn't say it was a Lambourghini I said it was a cute Mazda; it handles well and look good. The N95 comparison I think is a fair comparison. You get a lot of function orientated cars out there, like the Berlingo MPV, that are just bigger and don't go as fast.
