K850i vs N95 pic quality |

Actually, I've seen a picture of K800, K850 and N95 next to each other with their screens turned on.
God, I was amazed that K850's screen had more vivid colours and was twice as bright as N95's. Really, I, too, thought that N95's screen cannot be beaten (from what I've heard), but now I know for real which one's better. |

Only if you set the K850 to max brightness and N95 to default medium (or when the light sensor is active). According to this http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=11607 , it is more like:
From several angles the screen looks decent, however it does not have the brightness of the N95 display due to the 16M colors of the Nokia family member.
No matter what, the 2.2inch screen size of the so-called flagship K850 sure sucks big time compare to the glorious 2.6in of N95 or 2.8in of N95 8gb.
@dragoneye
4 secs to start, 5 secs to save or 3 sec to open if in background and 5 secs to save on the new n95-3 (us version with the 128 ram).. (you can't even leave the camera in the old n95 running cause you'll get memory errors...)
My N95 only took 2 sec (and not 5 sec) to save a picture - with the preview mode turn off .

i'll have to try that...love the new n95 with the ram... just can't get anything useful out of the cam unless i want to do landscape/scenary shots....
just tried it... maybe 1 sec faster... not enough IMO... i'm saving it to a 4 gig card... n95... just does it slow.. even the allaboutsymbian guys agree....

Black levels on K850 are better, . N95 because of the transflective layer, becomes washed out when showing blacks.

both have QVGA resolution, K850 has the edge when it comes to pixels per cm(because it has higher pixels per inch) which has less pixelation compared to n95's lower pixel per cm rate. in other words images when viewed in K850 looks finer and sharper compared to N95. and you call N95's screen glorious because of the larger dimensions and larger pixels

Same old argument that has been beaten to death many times over. Well, enjoy yourself with K850 its teeny-weeny screen |

yep, 99% of the WM PDA's have 2.8''/2.6 screens with QVGA res. If that was so bad HTC, Moto, Imate wouldnt use it. And dont forget the 16million color screen of N95. 2.2'' is just laughable

A steady hand or even a tripod wouldn't have given much better results. The low light sensitivity of both the K850i and the N95 sucks big time! Zoom in to 100 percent scale on either photo and what do you see? Certainly not worth the hundreds of dollars SE and Nokia are charging for their phones! I'd rather spend half the money on a pocket-sized P&S camera. Why not the 8MP Sony DSC-T20 for USD 262?
Oh, I forgot that most of you never look at your photos at full size (and understandably so since these look like sh*t close up [don't go too close to the out house if you don't like the smell])! So why the need for a 5 MP camera phone? |

My biggest disappointment with the k850i is the flash. Don't loose sight of the fact - the k850i is a camera phone - no more no less. People buy it because SE trumpet the 'xenon flash'. Is expected to beat the n95 fair and square in all conditions, every time, all the time ! Further more, is not exactly small for a cell with so few features. The time between the pictures is longish and sometimes just as long if not longer then the n95 ! Also, remember, N95 is 7moths old whereas the k850i just got released. The biggest problem is the flash itself - it certainly does not work all the time as advertised ! One has to take a few pictures hopping one of them will come out ok. Not good. Not good at all. And please people lets not fight each other, after all we are here because of our common passion for technology and cells.

to your information: K850 is just as big as k800, actually a bit smaller |

is this ok ??....you cant find a better flash on a cell phone, (it only needs a uppdate on the sync-function in ISO.Auto...thats it)
