ring up retentions dept and see what they offer you. quote carphone warehouse is doing you a deal on vodafone with free phone, £25/month, 500 mins and 400 texts.

Do you happen to have the number for retentions? I rang up the upgrade dept a few minutes ago and they wouldn't budge from £30/18 months (£35/12) and I'm currently on £25 a month.

Hi, after reading these comments in here I just rang up o2 cancellations, and asked for my PAC code. He asked why I was leaving. I explained CPW have got the k850i on £25/month.

He said he'll have a look. He offered:

£20/month, 400mins, 1000 texts, 18 months, free phone.

However, on a 12 month contract, the best he could do was £30/month, free phone, same texts/mins. The equiv online is 35/month. or 30/month plus u have to pay for the phone.

I snapped up the 20/month contract. Because im currently paying £25/month for my k800i, 500 mins, 500 texts. So with this, i'll get a brand new phone, more texts, and a cheaper monthly payment

--------------

btw. these deals were in stark contrast to selecting getting thru to the upgrades department on the phone, who wouldnt budge from the tarrifs that are online

However, someone on here said they got it for 15/month. Surely thats bullshit..?? 15/month for a brand new phone?? Should i ring back and ttry and get it for 15 ... because when he said 20/month, i just said i'll take it.. without hesitating, which makes me wonder wheather that wasnt necesarrily the best deal he put on the table

08706003009 is O2 Customer Services, I can't remember the options to get to retentions though. Just listen to what the robot woman has to say, it's easy to figure out.

I rang them this morning and got the K850i for free, on a 12 month contract, 1000 texts, 400 minutes, and the Web Bolt On, all for £25 a month. Bargain I thought.

Basically my sister has just started at T mobile so she can get me any phone for free and any tariff for half price.

last year when I got my Nokia N73 I had to pay for the phone but got £10 off my line rental so it was £20 a month. I didn't mind paying for the phone as I sold my old phone on ebay and the money from that covered the N73.

I'll probably try and get the same deal this time, as I never go over my free minutes/txts 200mins any time any net work that roll over when not used. Last time I checked I had 600 minutes that I had accumulated. I also get 500 txts, if they can give me the phone for free AND knock the £10 off so it's £19.99 again then that would be cool.

Forgot to mention the only reason I'd prefer to stay on O2 is purely because I wouldn't be in an 18 month contract.

I got a text from O2 this morning saying that they were running low on stock and my phone would be dispatched on or soon after the 15th. Did anyone get the same?

Great news (for me anyway). I managed to get the upgrade for free now and stay on my current £25 a month tariff which I was happy with anyway. They did say the phone was on backorder and won't be available till around 17th October, so just over a week to wait.

Well People! I posted last Friday saying I was happy to pay £30 pm for 200 xmin rollover and 200 txt rollover...............................
And I stayed happy until I read the comments about my deal!!! You guys know how to make me feel bad!!! I was happy only cos over the next 12 months I would pay £360.

So.........even though my phone is on order, due to arrive next Tuesday/Wednesday, I called O2 and have now come away with a revised deal:

400 xmins
1000 texts
1 meg data plus treats to bump it up to 3 meg
1 gig card
1 bluetooth headset

.....for £20 pm for 18 months.....(which I know may only actually be for 15m months)

What makes me happy now is that I will still pay effectively £360 (albeit over 18 months but that's ok......)

Did I do good this time round, d'ya think chaps?????

My offer on T-mobile:

Price undecided, but I should be able to brag my way to getting it free if it isnt.

Web'n'walk max with Flext 35
900 minutes or 1800 texts
10 gig modem use including instant messaging and Voip

Half price at £28.75 a month on 18 months with my advantage plan.

I got the early upgrade offered by mistake by E-mail. They offered it for free at the time, but later said this was a mistake because they didnt have the pricing yet.

When I call up to upgrade, I'm going to quote 'I asked on the 1st oct to upgrade my price plan from my current 12 month tariff to the 18 month web'n'max tariff. I asked If I could upgrade to the K850i and they said yes I could get it for free because of the price plan change'.

Which is exactly what they said, although the upgrade offer was a mistake which they are honouring (My 12 month tariff ends on July 8th, they allow upgrades after 9 months on retentions)

I called yesterday and checked the note on my account, it pretty much says 'Cancel retention, Change tariff to Flext 35, Upgrade to K850i' with a few extra words, but the free offer isnt on there as they have no pricing information yet.

Wish me luck getting it for free once they have it

P.S. Has anyone gotten their K850i from O2 yet?
