No water, No food.
If you're not well or on a journey you do not need to fast, but should make up later when you can.

I could go without food but i'd need water to get me by especially today as it's pretty sunny and warm

@miss uk - As PeterKay said It's quite easy to fast, just need the Faith. In my country is the same, first taraweeh was last night, and today is the first day of fast, which I'm really enjoyning, Elhamdulillah!
@aremaboy I agree with you, it's great to see so many muslims here on Esato, I thought there won't be any!

A real fasting means no food, no water, no sexual activities, no gossiping, no offensive words and no ill will. It sounds hard, but as others said, what you need is FAITH to Allah. In addition, you're recommended to donate more to the poor, pray more, and read Al-Qur'an to get much appreciation from Allah. Providing some meal, even just a gulp of water, for a Muslim breaking his fast after sunset is believed to be awarded the equal 'scores' as his fasting' that day. Nice, isn't it? That's why, Ramadhan is truly a blessed month. You'll get double in 'scores' for anything good you do. That's Allah promise. |

mine went pretty aite ...alhumdulillah...no mistakes...but styll 29 more to go and plus its only my second time leading alone |
