If they've stuck on an auto-focus 3MP camera though, it may as well have been the one from the K800. I mean, why not? I find the P1i camera to be excellent for macro photography but distinctly average for anything else, which is a shame. |

But the P1 is not a dedicated camera-phone, you should remember that.
Yes but still using a 3.2mp camera... why the hell didn't they use a quality lens? makes no sense.
It's the lens that is a sham on it. |

I think this has a NOT-so-GOOD cam on it . . . considering those OUTDOOR-shots, I was expecting some sharper ones . . . the only NICE I've seen on this page is that of the RED tomato-shot !

@jojo..
yes, the 3.2mpx is not really that good. a firmware update may correct it, (wishful thinking...) but for everyday point and shoot, P1i is "okay" for me.

I'm really praying that the w960 doesn't suffer the same affliction, based on everyone's comments here about photo quality.
I have a K800, though I never found it's photo quality to be stunning, either. Tends to be a lot of loss of detail, and large splotched areas especially when using the flash.
But I'm wondering if its possible to transplant the K800's camera assembly into this phone?

It seems that good results can be had. Outdoors in very good light and macro without flash. The light/flash doesn't throttle down for macro photography and it is therefore useless. |

Hello Everyone,
I need your support. My P1i is exhibiting a greenish tint on the right hand side of the photos, and looking at some of the posts here, I notice the same thing (look at below24's). I started a new thread
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=153093
so if you have comments on this or notice the same problem please post. I've contacted SE on this so I'm waiting to see what their response is, I hope it's not a CMOS issue but I think it is, since the LCD preview exhibits the same problem. Anyways, everyones support is appreciated. Thanks. |
