Raven.....its very simple...if you dont like what SE/ericsson is doing then buy your nokia.

What's your point? I have a Nokia. I have an Ericsson. I have a Samsung. I might even get a Motorola. I don't give a damn sh!t about any of the companys!! All I care about is their products. If SE gets rid of their stick and gets something out on the market that I really like, I will by it! That's how simple it is!!!

@swazi I do also like the 8910, almost the only Nokia phone I like but I don't have one.

What do you feel about it? Is the quality good etc? Do you feel fooled after that the 8910i with colour screen has been released?

Mobiles are SEs smallest biz.

Mobile phones are the ONLY thing Sony Ericsson is doing (and they don't even seem to be doing that very well ). Ericsson is the one doing all the mobile networks stuff.

I agree with what somebody said here, you shouldn't be attacking Nokia. Motorola, Samsung and even Siemens and selling (or at least they did in Q2 2002) more phones than SE. It is obvious now that SE doesn't stand a chance against Nokia, but it can at least try do beat the other manufacturers...

am just curious... does anyone read businessweek magazine here regularly? i remember leafing through an issue about two weeks ago with interesting articles about ericsson and sony ericsson. here is a listing of november 2002 articles about the companies from the businessweek website:

Sony Ericsson: "In Big Bloody Trouble"?
November 4, 2002 | Cover Story

Graphic: Ericsson Retools
November 4, 2002 | Cover Story

Cover Image: Saving Ericsson
November 4, 2002 | Cover Story

Saving Ericsson
November 4, 2002 | Cover Story -- The giant's fall was dizzying. Just as fast, Kurt Hellström must redesign the company or see it slam to earth

i can't copy the website text. but i can tell you that what i read before from the newstand did not paint such a rosy picture for ericsson and the se venture.

any comments?

T68m was made perfectly that time and then comes the Sony and Ericsson merging. To make their customers happy, they gave a free t68i upgrade.

If that was the best Ericsson could make, then they ought to go out of business. Thankfully Sony took pity on them.
Ok, it was color and nice, BUT slow, severe SW/HW probs. I had mine changed 3 times due to SW/HW failure, and not once it got any better.

To make their customers happy, they then decided to implement the SW features that were promised to be there from start, like MMS!
But just to be sure not to loose any sales on T68i, they made the originally promised SW available to us T68m owners 2months later.
I'm impressed by their generosity!

Ok, Mine is not 16 month old, but it is 12 months old. I have also a totaly new t68i, but I preffer by far t68 m upgraded since it looks better to me and it has the rubber on the back side. I have not a single problem from the very begining.
Speaking about speed, what about 7210? Do you think that this device is fast? It might be fast in browsing the subcategories but when it comes to view a pic or to store something it is very very slow, no comparison with t68.
The speed is not 's problem. It is a problem of the use of the dynamic memory in conjuction with low power consumption.
Concluding, if you are not so happy with 's products, don't buy them. Purchase whatever you believe will suits you. However, that doesn't mean the will decline. There are many many people who swifted from Nokia to products for a number of reasons. There are many disapointed users of Nokia which now have t68.

To all anti-Nokia funs:

In case which decline and finally close down will be a problem to all consumers even if they are Nokia funs or whatever, since competition enchances and delivers better products to us. Imagine the case that cellular phones will be produced by one and single manufaturer. Do you believe that they will deliver the same high quality phones? Monopoly is really bad to customers in every business. So, don't pray that will finally close down.
By the way, this will never happen cause it is huge and really strong organization.
I cannot understand also , why so many people want from to produce a new phone.... T68i is selling like crazy right now, it has everything and its cost is reasonable. Nokia needs 6 devices to compete with t68i. So, why so much discusion about that?

I have had my T68m for 12 months and a week and no replacement phone here. Updated it to the newest software recently and I havn't had any problems either, exept some hangings. Still it hangs in the newest software when my sister played ERIX with my T68mi. But it has only happened for about 6times or something.

When I said a while ago that the 7210 was slow in some ways, everybody thought I was an idiot:-) Now I have it confirmd buy Orca that it is slow. It is hard to navigate with it (the buttons), and it is also slow upon that, sad really. But the Nokia fans don't get my point really.

If I'm going to answer on the question about aint to last.

I will say the following:
•T100 low-end phone will sell probably sell good when it comes to countries that doesn't have that much mobilephones.
•T200 Is selling good in Sweden have seen a couple on town
•R600 almost the same phone but Ericsson and it is selling well in Sweden
•T300 Is also selling good in Sweden (Top of the ranking of most searched phones) http://se.pricerunner.com/phones/
•T600 Is nr5 on the list and that sais something
•T68i is selling 2most on the biggest mobilephone shop in Sweden! And is sellinf the best of products.
•P800 will when it hits the stores in dec-feb be pretty hunted I think
•Maybe a 65000colour screen phone Q2 2003....

If we look at this it isn't that bad, and they will survive. I hope that the T300 will sell very good worldwide. On X-mas the 3510i won't be out so T300 will be the phone for the kids!
