I have been told that Vodafone is unavialable until today 1/11/02 then I have to go through some long process to get connected. I have to meet criteria, god knows why!!

Waheey, MMS now working on Vodafone UK (mine is anyway).
Now all I have to do is to persuade someone to send me the Happy Birthday MMS that was originally in my inbox but which I accidently deleted
Needs to be a UK Vodafone punter as I want to get it direct to my phone (not an sms website link).
My number: +447887533588
Anybody? |

Heya Skaff,
I got a Vodafone (singlepoint) monthly sim card that I can shove in my T68i. Did you do anything special to setup MMS? As I haven't tried it before, although I am comfortable with manually entering complex settings having already properly sorted POP3 and Wap access
Let me know.

2tangy,
First, of course, you have to have a GPRS service set up with your SP
Then you have to get a Vodafone Live! network service connection setup on your phone
(Ring service provider or go to http://www.vodafone.co.uk website and follow Live! instructions).
Then you have to get MMS enabled on your account with your SP.
Finally wait an hour (or 4 days in my case ) for your account settings to sync through the Vodafone network and you're ready to go.
Sound like a lot of trouble? IT IS! |

Good luck with MMS!
Call singlepoint to set you up, let us know what they say.
P.S. Shouldn't this thread be moved to GPRS, Email, MMS setup forum? |

Alternatively, you could use the configurator on their site:

Shibby - just got me & the Mrs's phone registered on O2 for MMS. Can only put mms on to latest tariffs says O2 - unreal eh! I have had to ditch superb mytime 200 tariff for another more xpensive 1.
Soddin MMS still doesn't work - GPRS failed message everytime. |

Hi all I'm new here,
I have a T68i on O2-UK Prepay and have managed to send MMS messages for FREE and receive them, you need to go to the SE site and select MMS configuator (O2-UK Prepay) then ask O2 prepay to activate O2 MMS via 4445 on your pay as you go handset, go via option '0' then press option '3' for MMS customer service.
They don't charge you like Vodafone P-A-Y-T as with Voda you have to buy a Vodafone Live phone...
Dose anyone have the preset SE t68i mms messages as mine were deleted when I had a SW upgrade, but thats another story...
I will reply,
+447748880841
Many Thanks in advance
