Virgin is a partner network of t mobile, so it'll work.Anyway on a different note you don't need to prat about doing this on a s60 symbian as there are a few apps that do this regardless of network.I use sms1 ..Works everytime.

How does MPE do it ?
If we could find out the "coding" i guess that my phone explorer uses we could do it ourselves.
Ill hav a look to see if theres an app

I had a look for a java app, found about 3 that might be what's needed. But none ran on my k750, i think they were Siemens only, they mainly showed up on Siemens sites.
Not a clue how MPE does it, but the fact it does must mean it's possible.
I've tried the !! method using a T Mobile Samsung and it worked, but the number shows. Also, you can't save the message on SE phones......but you can on Samsungs! |

One of our network providers here (Sun Cellular) sends flash messages as reply to prepay accounts balance inquiries. Regardless of the phone model, the messages
-- show up instantly on the phone desktop, you can still see your wallpaper cuz it has transparent background
-- no sender info
-- when the message doesn't fit into the screen it auto-scrolls
-- can't be saved (at least on SE Java phones)
The flash messages i sent from MyPhoneExplorer
-- show up instantly on my K700 and K610 but not on desktop, the background is like that of regular sms.
-- no sender info on K700, has sender info on K610
So it appears there are several ways to encode class 0 SMS? I wonder if CMans Say messages (for Symbian phones) work better than the MPE flash, haven't tried it... |

this also works between my virgin uk k750i and my tmob uk locked k810i with a virgin sim. for some odd reason it sent it once and i received 2 messages on my k810i.
before anyone says virgin use tmobiles equipment/network, i know that already
K700i > K750i > K810i (current phone)

For anyone still wondering, when you goto "Write New Message" in MyPhoneExplorer, there's a bunch of buttons at the top. You just have to click on the lightning bolt button, and it makes it a Flash SMS.
I'd suggest sending a message to yourself first though, just to see whether it really works and to see if it'll be anonymous.
