K800/790 vs N73: For the first time I'm considering a Nokia! |

Both phones have a 3.2 MP camera, but the N73 has a Carl Zeiss lense, so is the lense's presence significant in the pic quality?
Plus, don't forget that N73 has cheaper memory cards than SE's M2, and the K800's joystick will probably suck after a couple of month's usage. |

i think that even if the k790 has a little better camera when taking pics, i'll choose the n73 because of the video recording and other functions like been a smartphone. And for the reliabiliti of it (joestick) basing on my own experience whit a nokia 16 months and no problems. And all the treats about the k750 joestick. I wont buy a 500 dollars phone that will fail after a while, sorry for my bad english |

No the joystick now has a rubber protection behind it or something that prevends dust from getting under the joystick. And old 2MP carl zeiss nokias got beaten by the K750i with a plastic or glass lens? So i think the carl zeiss thing is just a hype

@mart89 > Exactly! For those who have forgotten how the Nokia 2mp got beaten by the K750/w800, here's the article: http://www.gsmarena.com/2mp_test_6280_n70_d750-review-70.php Lens branding is just a gimick. The video on the n93 is better, there's no arguing that, but the N93 is NOT in competition with the K800. The n73 is and just like the K790/K800 it'll come as EITHER 3g OR EDGE, not both (the n93 comes with both), although it will come as a quadband, something SE should take to heart IMO.
And for those saying the camera is better on the n73, don't forget -that's the Video camera not the Photo and I have yet to see any specs on it, everything so far published that I've seen talks about the 640x480 on the n93, not the n73. For all we know it'll be a 320x240 res (which I know is still better than the K800 but not by that much).

To my knowledge, n73 only has an ordinary LED (no real flash). |

IMO, giving K800 an LED flash is better than a xenon one (if it's as strong as or stronger than K750/W800 photo-LED flash) since it can double as a light torch / flash light. And there's always the MXE-60 just in case you really need the xenon flash. |

Its only better if you donīt pretend to actually take photos with it... |

but according to the review.. there are pros and cons on that Xenon Flash of K800... some times when taking snaps against a wall/glass it (the flash itself) shows itself.. meaning theres a ball of light in yer pix....
and about the torch thing.. i doubt if you can use it as a torch thing for its set to auto.. meaning you can only use it when taking pix. not as a torch light alone... (but then again correct if im mistaken)

yes you canīt use it has torch...but for photos the results are much better than with a led, that is an absolute fact |

Well they could have just had a xenon flash AND led lights, that way everyone's happy. You could use the leds for close up photography and flashlight and use the xenon for situations that require a bit more of a boost.
