Hi was using the phone in work today, and i have to say i approached with a not too enthusiatic attitude. My mind has not done a 180 and i'll have this phone at the end of the month. I currently have a k750i and would consider the w810i to be a worthy upgrade.
No1. It looks class
No2. As far as i know spec wise screen should be identical, however colours are much brighter and sharper compared to those of k750i/w800
No3. No joystick! Halleauuuyah! And the new pad works a dream, very responsive and the select button stands out a bit.
No4, 5, 6,7,8,9, and 10. It looks class!
Go see this phone in action for yourself, you may find yourself a bit more than impressed. |

@ 50Cent, thanks mate, i kinda hoped people would find the comparison to other phones useful.
@ Coxy, i've been using this phone for three days now and can confirm it does creak like the k750, but i would have to say that on a scale of 1 to 10 ( the k750 creak being 10) it is about 2. It really is minimal and seeing as this is what made me sell my K750 in the end, i can say it is hardly noticable.
The whole phone has a quality feel to it and the buttons feel and perform a treat. I much prefer the black colour scheme compared to the cream/orange of the W800i and find the whole phone very satisfying to use.
I must add that the screen resolution is incredible. The colours are reproduced very well and with excellent definition. If you see it side by side with the w800i you will be astounded at the difference. The W800i picture looks 'washed out' compared to the W810i. I've loaded several themes onto my phone and compared them all with the W800i which looses out every time.
If i were in the market for a phone and the choice was between these two then i'm afraid the W810i wins hands down, no contest. I've bought and paid for all my phones out of my own pocket and its the W810i that i'm the most satisfied with...even above the W900i ( and i love that phone ).
I hope people find these comments useful and maybe help give you an idea as to if this phone is suitable for your requirements.
After three days use i'd give this phone 9/10. If the camera had been 3.2Mp, then it would have got 10/10.
Thank-you. |

@scooby, do you think you could upload some videos taken with the w810? |

Say you didnt know that you've got a miss call or a message, you pull your phone out your pocket. Do you have to press a button to activate the screen so you are able to see whether you've got a miss call or message?
Show us some flash themes!
Or better yet, post em! |

The phone doesn't hardly creak at all, well after using it around 4 or 5 times now i havent heard 1 squeak. I wouldnt recommend paying £300 or 500 euro for this phone if you already have a w800i, but if you have a free upgrade available i'd say it is well worth the upgrade, do that and spend the £300 on a holiday or trip or somethin. |
