@has33, I posted the details from the press release in the first page of the thread and there it says
2.0” QVGA 262K TFT display
so your calculation was pretty close

Why on earth would they use badly taken photographs in the press images of photos taken with the K800i?

K800... That's... I'm wordless... the way I was last year when I was looking at the K750... DEFINITELY my next phone, it's a pitty I'll have to wait until summer (I guess that's when it will come up here in Bulgaria)... waiting impatiently for some pics taken with it though....

Probably because its only QVGA and not VGA as it lacks the Nvidia chip. Im sure if it had been VGA they would have mentioned it somewhere . |

I am very pleased to hear that the joystick has been reworked! If they can keep dust out of it and guarantee improved accuracy, then that will be just excellent!
Does it have a 3.5ml headphone jack? (Does the W810i have one by contrast?)
Currently there is a big improvement when comparing the K750i's music player to the W800i's, but I'm hopeful that the only major difference with the K800i (compared to W810i) is that is won't have Walkman splashed across it, and will be functionally identical.
And does anyone know/hypothesise how the music player will stack up compared to the W810i?

Nice spec!
Not totally sold on the design. Don't like where they have the cybershot sticker or logo on the front, but that's a small issue. More worried about the lens cover. Worried about the lip of the lens cover, you can see this in the side potraits. I can imagine this getting caught on your pocket as you are slipping the phones into your pants. Pity they didn't stick to a w800 lens cover design! |
