Sorry if the obvious poit has been made, but the P990 is a 3G device the K-jam is not. Once you've used 3G for data and video calling you wouldn't want to go back to 2/2.5/2.75G systems.

2.75g?? is it real? then a few months later there will be 3,15g or something like that?

@ Masseur and Madbob
What are the details of the videos that you are watching on your k-jam? Frames per sec, resolution, bit-rate, audio bit rate? And these play absolutely smoothly? |

Not sure exactly, But I will find out.
Mine are basically the same encodes that are done for the P-Series using the smartmovie encoder. 3ivx codec at 90% consistant quality, with the drop frames box ticked.
I will attempt to do some more encodes specifically for this phone, and I will see how far I can push it and let you know.

Anymore info on the Bob?
I specifically need to know if the K-jam will play nearer 24/25fps than the 12/13fps of the P910i. i.e
320x240 (or whatever the native res is)
24/25fps fps
Aprrox 130 K/bs bitrate
64 - 80 K/bs Audio bitrate
The above should produce decent quality, well it does produce very good quality on my P910i the only difference is the fps.
A friend just had one and I like the look of it. The Wifi is attracting me and it's also here now. The way it syncs with Outlook is a big plus for a lot of people. |

I've had the K Jam for 2 days now. I love it.
Is taking so long to launch a phone with WIFI..... Grrrrr........
I doubt I would like the P990 over the K Jam. It feels like a mini laptop, with all the apps I am use to.

get a K-Jam, that way, one less person that'll have a P990. Making my one that little bit more special.

I have the tmobile mda aka htc wizard and it plays 24 fps movies. so does the p910 now that smartmovies supports it and so does the alpha of tcpmp player. i do like the mda over the p910a because it does more of what i need it to do than the p910a (like streaming with no problem). plus the developers always finding new stuff to do with the phone. plus the p990 wont be in my area for a long time. after playing with windows mobile 5 i dont really want another symbian phone.

Read the heading of the topic. It's open for discussion on the view between the two phones.
Don't be ignorant and read the subject tittle.
