K750 > R1AA008 > Hissing sound when making phone calls |

I've been asked to send mine to a service centre.
Is there any way they can tell I've opened it up?
The dust under the screen isnt a tell tale sign as that gets there anyway. Looks almost like the contents of a hoover bag!
Cheers

Sony Ericsson Call Center in Sweden still denies any knowledge of this problem. (I included a link to this thread in my support request)
They tell me to send my phone to a SE service partner.
I really hope that everyone that have this or other problems report it to Sony Ericsson.

I picked up my K750 this friday. As I suspected they had not fixed the noice. Instead they said it was normal "GSM noice". I was sad but yet prepared for something like that
Now I'm back to the good old T610 - selling my K750 pronto! |

I'm not surpised by the answer you got. I've been in contact with SE HQ in Stockholm and told them (and e-mailed) about the audio issues in the latest firmwares. I know they are aware, but they can't fix the problem right now and therefore denies all knowledge of any problem at this time. They promised to get back to me and after two weeks I've heard nothing from SE. That says a lot...

That's quite poorly handled. I am glad I didn't waste time sending mine in for repairs & opted to downgrade to R1N using DaVinci.

If you record a call is the noice present in the recording?

I didn't give up when they sent the phone back with the above note... so they sent it to another service center for express service and now it's finnished. The result? Well, a new note...
"There is a problem with the current firmware, and there is no solution at this moment."
So, SE, you admit there is a problem that you can't fix - now I want a full refund |

@cybervisitor
their reply is bs...since the same problem exists with the R1N035. I have sent my K750i too but I have also written a letter to the commercial service: they engaged to follow up my situation and to do their best to get me satisfied.
I will keep you informed

I agree with you, the problem IS there in former firmware versions as well. People just don't know it because the sound level is much lower in those versions, hence harder to hear the background noice. I think it's a hardware problem and when SE decided to higher the volume in R1AA008 it became more evident that there is a background noice.
If it was a firmware problem ... where's the fix
My bet is that in the next firmware update SE will lower the volume again and people will think the problem is fixed, but it isn't (it's just harder to hear the noice again though). SE will go back the state of the R1N035 firmware to make people think everything is fine
And to those who wonder why SE keep giving different answers about the problem: It's always been like that. Different people know different things at SE. Most answers in this matter comes from the front desk and they know less. |

I am in war with SE; i received my k750i back and the only thing they did was the upgrade of the f/w. I have requested to have my money back or to have my unit changed with the lastes h/w one.
They are incompetent!!! |

@All
The annoying hissing while speaking on the phone is gone in R1BC002. Just update your firmware and the problem is solved. |
