what would kick ass if they were 30 frames progressive scan....which
ideally means it was 60 frames pal or 50 frames ntsc to start off with......but thats a bit far fetched and expensive for a phone...

Movies in theatres are captured at 24 fps, so I don't think anything more than that is useful!

that all depends on what your filming....of your filming a film then yes 24 frames will suffice...but if your filming a doco or news or TV etc the standard for TV and in fact all DV cams is either 50 or 60 frames....but this is kinda gettin off topic

Well I don't see the point in 50-60 fps at all, since the human eye can't catch more than 20 fps... In fact it's a big waste doing that! 30 fps is the most you should have, anything above this will not provide any noticeable changes...

Clips look ok
320x240, +350kbit/s videobitrate, +25fps
Too bad its still only amr audio, could have been nice with a qualityincrease to aac audio there also.
Stillpictures are on par with K750/W800 which is to be expected as they used the same cam in W900
Internal memory of 470mb is indeed a great improvement, but does require that transferspeeds for internal memory are changed to normal USB speed and not seriel emulation as is on K750/W800, lets hope they've thought of that. No fun transfering 470mb to/from internal memory at seriel speeds - that would take days.
Most likely W900 is based on the same base platform as K750/W800, which gives some hope that videorecording could actually be improved through firmware for these models also.

the internal memeory is very genourous any ideas why?
i noticed earlier someone mentioned speed of opening pics etc.
i did a test on my k750 same pic in phone mem and on card
the phone memory has 32mb spare the card only 6mb spare.
guess what they opened pretty much the same speed maybe a millsec between them music on the card starts at the same speed as in the phone memory.
so why such a big internal memory, i aint complaining (but then i wont be buying) just wondering the possible reasons why |

Its not so much opening of pictures, but propably more videorecording at higher resolution and bitrates which require memory with higher datarate write capabilities without problems.
But no matter what the reasons for the increase in internal memory may be, it certainly can never be a bad thing, the more internal memory the better per say. The total amount of memory internal+external increases, the number of pictures or videos that can be taken without the need for extra memorycards increases when in the field etc.

your probably correct its perhaps me been cynical thinking things like the more internal memory the less chance of people using a card thus meaning if you slow the transfer rate people will be more likely to buy music for the phone than use there own as the 3g side would make it quicker than a serial connection
i never though about the video side of it though were more memory is an obvious advantage

right. try it browsing lots of 2mb photos, not just one, and specialy animated gifs, and then compare...the difference is not millsec, no way...my k750 almost paralyzes with animated gifs, and with some videos, they start much faster in internal memory
