is it just me who cant stand the start/stop button on w800? my phone's on silent, i'm putting it away or something, accidentally press the button and music starts to play. i just wish it could be disabled. it's handy when already in walkman but could lead to some awkward situations in meetings/lectures etc.
and the bloody camera shutter always slides open when i get it out of my pocket.
but i DO love it, dont get me wrong
ace phone. personally prefer the style and buttons to k750. just depends if you need the extra mem included. i couldnt afford to buy another one so that really swung it for me.

the phone camera doesnt accidently open as easy as the k750i atall so that is an advantage for the w800i, there will be many people who agree with me on this i think.
also, the music shouldnt start to play by itself if you have your keys locked... mine doesnt anyway...go to settings, stay on general, scroll down to play/pause button and put it on radio and then that will not occour
i hope this helps you and your meetings

1) looks r far better than W800
2)K750i + HPM-70 headphone + 512 MB memory card is cheaper than W800...
Now what more to say????????

But if you are being offered a straight off choice between the two (like I was) it's better to go for the W800i. Same camera, better music function, headphones and a bigger card straight away. |

The phone's are the same ... and about colors and taste, we can't discuss. Just get the one you love the most (design), and put on the software you love the most ...
At this very moment I'm using the w800i, as I love the design and the walkman software in it. The only thing missing on this phone ... is 3G!
For this, i use the K600i. |

Design is personal.
And I like the W800i more.
I also like orange colour, my favourite.
I'm tired of black and silver.
Moreover in K750 i dislike the front lines, the keypad with the strange not fitting to anything else there two smaller size square buttons.
The other thing is the joystick, the one on the W800i has some transparent orange rubber-like filling and feels nicer on your fingers.
The quickshare sticker is not my favourite too.
For the specs I would choose W800 over K750 again.
Paying 252 instead of 212 euro, you get:
512Mb over 64Mb memory stick
better software for music
better earphones with an adapter for normal earphones.
What I miss in both phones is the remote volume and next/previous track buttons on the earphone cable.
But I hope an accessory like that will come soon.

I think the W800 is much better in so many ways:
Cheaper
Different (Orange..??WTF??)
Better memory
More Musically enabled.

Hi Mate,
Welcome to Esato, but how is the W800i cheaper? Where did you get your W800i if you are from Ireland?

I'm planning to upgrade my K700 to K750
1)Is it possible in k750 to mark several files and send them via BT(i.e.:is it possible to send more than one file in k750?)
2)Is a card reader provided in the standard package?(gsmarena says so but in mobile-review there wasn't such a thing)
3)Is the playback volume in k750 louder than k700?
4)what about fast forwarding during video playback?available now?(I know it has fullscreen) |

these two phones are different in many ways and the same in many ways either...
If you're into specs and functionality, go fo the 800, its got the flight mode, walkman(which owns 750s media player), the lens cover mechanism in the 800 though is not that reliable because its a mechanism, but i guess it wont break unless you use it carefully, 750 cover is more straight forward, but exposes trhe lense a lot. If you convert your k750 to a w800, then that would be great, you got functionality and practicality in your phone
If you're looking for a good buy, go for the 750, you can always spend the extra amount for that 800 to buy a mem stick with higher capacity, i bought my 750 for 13,000 php and my 1GB mem stick for 3000 php, total 16K, price of the 800 is 16.5K, now with a little less than the price of the 800, you get almost twice the file storage size.
For the looks though, I can not say whats best for everyone, it depends on your prefernce, if you're a teenager, gayish, sporty - go for the orange phone, if you're a businessman, professional, serious type...go for the black one...
For ease of use, the w800 has an edge over the 750 because of better keypads...fat fingered folks keep away from the 750, because its going to be annoying when you press 2 keys in one time...the 800 keypads are spaced very well vertically...unlike the 750 that the keypads almost do not have spaces between them |
