I think keeping our expectations within check is a good plan for now. |

Indeed, but it doesn't hurt to dream
Sony does need to do something to differentiate themselves from the rest of the pack, and putting their full weight behind some top notch mobile devices would be a great way of doing it.
In the meantime, hopefully we get more and more leaks leading up to IFA. |

not much to expect, mobile wise from Sony. Myself more interested in what else sony will bring to IFA. |

Unlikely they'll have much, as you say....maybe the new qx lens style cameras.
I'm also looking forward to photokina 2014 |

New pics of Z3 (not compact) with flaps open: http://tieba.baidu.com/p/3210025888
better placement of the slots - micro usb has a flap alone.
btw, does the sim slot look like dual sim to anyone as the rumor suggest? usually they are placed on the back of most phones so its hard to tell.

I honestly don't care about xenon, but heck, why not even a dual toned LED, like basically every flagship has so far? If Z3 still uses a single LED flash, I will REALLY consider Sony has a bunch of monkeys working as engineers/designers.
I don't get people. Never Have, never will. |

This isn't a new model, it's a facelift, the insides are the same as the Z2, just the outside has been molded to be slimmer and less bezel. Therefore the flash would have not been changed for a new 2 tone LED, which I suppose would have occurred if the model was completely new.
Clearly the Z3 is a stopgap until the Z4 arrives at MWC (hopefully). It is also a chance to fix the Z2 mistake, no US sales on carriers.

@ ascariss
Sony sure did fix the mistake of not having an carrier support in the US. Z3 is coming to two US carriers within 6 to 8 week after announcement. |
