I will be sitting on the fence and playing with my P900 and wait and see what happens to the P990a. I like to have 3G here in the US on 2100, but that could be covered with the P990i.

By the looks of what I have read in this thread, the P990 has been shipped with quite some serious problems. Certainly not what I would expect from SE's flagship model.
Johnex's kernel error message sure looks scary and we still have not gotten much positive feedback from Masseur or the others. |

I thought I'd be quite positive about the P990 apart from the performance restarts (which the M600 suffers too) and the one kern-exec 3 crash.
in general I think most P series fans (if I can call them thatP will be very happy despite the wait but the fact I am sitting on a train writing this on my TyTN tells you more about my preferred device so far

@masseur: the kernel error i get with the preformance restart is caused by some bug in the infrared . It might be a very small thing that causes lots of damage |

Here's a weird one - is anyone else getting it?
If I add a calendar item and delete another item in Outlook 2002, the added item gets added to the P990, but the deleted item doesn't get deleted. Then, when you sync again, the phone adds the deleted item back into Outlook. It seems impossible to get rid of an entry!
I've checked all the settings, and I think I know what I'm doing (I've been syncing stuff like this for 10 years!).
Am I doing something wrong, or is this a fundamental bug? |

I think like with my first few days with the M600 I have concluded that Opera is the weakest link - there are many many apps on the P990 and they all seem to work (well have not fully tested email yet). Opera has probably caused SE many delays and lost sales in my view. On the P990 from Opera I deleted 'Private Data' which I think is related to saved password information from the Opera's Password Manager - I then rebooted and I found I had 16.6MB of RAM, 1MB more than before. Also I did get the 'Kern Exec 3' error yesterday once after many hours of use of Opera, but this was once the RAM was down to around 9MB and Opera needed to be re-started.

1. Can you upgrade to Outlook 2003?
2. Have you applied all the Services Packs that relate to Outlook 2002 and the OS you are using?

And also take into consideration that each Provider still need to test their specific features with the phone like streaming.
This is one of the reason why SE provide prototype phones for testing purposes to correct any issues with the phone. If everything has been resolved, that's the time SE will officially release the phone.

@ Jah
I don't think I can upgrade to Office 2003 (at least, not without paying!). I had no problems syncing on my P900 or any other device I've used. All updates have been applied, and I've checked stuff like making sure the deleted appointment has been emptied from Deleted Items (I seem to remember that used to be an issue), as well as making sure the clocks are in sync.
I'm stumped here... |

How to access to this file.
Everytime I click on it ... it tells me to download files.php (the php file itself)

@p9nineo
the link seems to be broken; the server does not know how to handle .php-files...
