@amby: Not sure why or how (and I couldnt be bothered for now), but Opera mini works fine on my wife's Vmobile-enabled 7250i. I just loaded the Esato homepage on it a few minutes ago. @senisho: The GX10 should work. I got a friend's GX1 browsing two weeks ago.

No Seinsho, I use SE and Siemens, but I believe that any phone that supports GPRS wap can be configured, it only requires patience and diligence. Dont give up, at the worst, you can bring the phone to "Mpowered lives" weekly help desk at the Unilag conference centre Sundays b/w 1pm and 3pm O:)

@Angelgirl and all those who do not have smartphones, but wish to use Yahoo messenger, there's wap messenger available at: http://sg.mm.yahoo.com
It works well, only that you have to refresh manually.
@Coola: I remember sending you a PM with the opera lite download link. That version is what Angel and I use on our T610, and it works perfectly.
forget about the SA free wap stuff, it doesn't work here.

Yes Angel, I get exactly the same error message when I use that combination, but with my Siemens SL55 and Glo, it works like magic. With Vmobile, all other yahoo services save messenger work, can't understand why.
Glo is miles ahead of the rest in terms of Data services.
Angel, try another phone with your MTN line(Not SE)

@Seinsho I am chatting right now with 3 people using that link on glo and siemens SL55. if you are using vmobile you'll get an error message 404 page not found same with MTN. Only glo gprs works with wapmessenger.

Luckilly for us in Ibadan, Multi-Links just launched their CDMA Fixed Wireless in Ibadan. I was told they will be charging N1000 per month as access fee. I will like to know if this is the same in Lagos and with other PTOs, Reltel, Starcomms, InterCellular etc.
I will also like to know how u guys rate Multilinks, voice and data, tarriff and customer service. Thanks |

@Adrussa: let me put it this way. Multilinks is the mtn of ptos. I guess that sums it up nicely. for all those who want to use yahoo wapmessenger, I just tried it on all three networks, but only glo supports it. so if you have an active glo SIM, pop it in and send me an offline msg. @Angel there's noting wrong with your fone, its mtn. I tried mine with my glo sim, and it worked well. |

@Adrussa: Almost all PTOs in Lagos offer free access to their networks for fixed wireless terminals, but some still charge an access fee for the mobile versions.
IMO, in terms of service delivery, Multilinks cannot really be faulted, its their customer care and after sales service that is frustrating.

No one seems to have noticed that PNF has entered the esato top 20 forums list with 4400 posts.
