Hey moogoo.
Are you gonna take some pictures and upload them to the X10 pics thread? It'd be nice to see some of Philly.

@Saltorio
Thanks for the recommendation of My Tracks, looks very interesting. Will definitely check it out when I get the X10. But it would need GPRS too though?
@ Moogoo
Pics of DC would be very interesting- Also just stumbled on this Brodit holder, it's with a UK Supplier, but I'm sure Brodit must be available in the US, I've def heard the name before?
@Anyone - Are you using the X10 with an in-car handsfree like the HCB 300? Would really like the sound to come through my car speakers.
Thanks all

@trickois never heard of brodit....
Is anybody having issues viewing MMS messages? I just get a download button in the native messaging application but the images don't download... I'm thinking/hoping it will be fixed once I debrand.

I've had the phone for almost 3 weeks now and i haven't had any major issues yet. This is why is stopped buying carrier branded phones years ago, because of all the stupid limitations . Hopefully when you unbrand it all the "BS" goes away. Btw, welcome to the club Moogoo!!! |

I have just debranded to the x10a firmware posted by LollyLost in the debranding thread. I looked at my firmware version and it still says it's using the 14 build... I'm gonna ask LolyLost about it in the debranding thread. In any case, everything works wonderfully and all the branding is gone. Phone is still very quick and very responsive so I'm very happy.
Hopefully I can find a friend to send me an MMS so I can try if that works now. Right now, I'm in the process of customizing everything!! It'll be a long process but very fun and well worth it. I will post more as I use it more.
UPDATE: MMS works flawlessly after debranding.

I've had to retag a couple every now and again. I'm trying to work out if it forgets the names after the phone is switched off.

I have received a message yesterday.
Took me a minute to figure it out.
I thought it was an sms then I realized it was a gtalk message.
It is incredible to be connected to gtalk all the time and receiving gtalk messages instantly.
I couldn't figured out how it workes

Yeah, the last two weeks I've been in the uk and my gf in Beijing. Texting each other is a nighare but the gtalk messaging has saved us an absolute fortune (she has a htc hero). I also use 'fring' and have that signed into skype and msn too. The messages/calls come in just like they do from gtalk and the skype voice works through the 3g. It's pretty amazing really. These features alone have paid 1/5th of itself off and as I'm flying back and forth from China a lot nowadays with many contatcs in both place, I will be ebtter off in no time.

Anyone had any problems with their X10 randomly losing all reception and then asking for the sim pin code? Mine's done this 3 or 4 times so far during the 2 weeks that I've had it....
It's as though the phone's rebooted itself, but I know it hasn't because I saw it happen - one minute I was staring at the home screen and then it suddenly changed to the pin entry screen |

@moogoo,
What all did you get in your box? and was it sealed?
Box was completely sealed. Seller emailed me an unlock code which worked like a charm. Inbox I got the 16GB MicroSDHC, the phone of course, user manuals, travel charger, and standard stereo handsfree (not MW600).
Interesting, 16GB is a nice bonus. I only got an 8GB with mine, along with a leather sleeve and a video stand with my white one, my black one didnt come with the stand. Its not a very sturdy stand so you are not missing much there and the leather case is descent. I would take the 16GB instead anyday. Im surprise you didnt get the MW600 tho. I thought I read somewhere that the Rogers came with MW600. Oh well, Im glad it was sealed and everything worked out for you bro, thats awesome. |

apparently the ones that come with MW600 are only given to the preorder customers...
i'm happy with the 16GB card though. I ordered an MW600 ($50), car charger, and windshield mount yesterday. So i'll be set accessories wise the clearcoat shield should be here soon. hopefully it ships today.
btw, is there a way to change the theme of the entire UI? cause you can change the wallpaper to say, orange, but menu backgrounds are still the standard blue.

Are you able to tell me where you got your MW600 from?....I havent found a way to change the main Blue UI other than the walpaper either. I dont think it can be done at the moment on 1.6 |
