Thank you.

I found the rss application on the M600i very nice.
I also think that PocketRSS is a good one for those with a TyTN.

@dmeyer

go to the SE support site for Product Setup and select M600 for WAP and MMS configuration. The SE site will send you SMSs to configure your P990. Did this today and worked fine (T-mobile).

Got my p990i this morning. I am very impressed, do think i prefer it without the flip though. Does anyone else find the battery cover hard to remove?

Anyone got any good applications for it yet?

Gah..

Get used to it!!

First it takes 20-30sec to start and then the kern-exec reason 3 error comes up from time to time... waiting for the new FW!!!

yeah I heard you ask them who their supplier was and they were a bit coy about that.

anyway, I forgot to mention that I found the firststartup to be very long. I almost walked back to the shop assuming some problem

also, I just started the browser for the first time and got a kern-exec reason 3 error

Well in all the paying with mine so far today I've only had one hiccup - the bluetooth appeared to crash just as I was trying to place a call (the headset was trying to connect just as the call was initiating). The call still proceeded however, although my headset (HBH-GV435) refused to reconnect to the P990i until I restarted the phone.

I found another bug (not a big one at all), this is to do when the flip is closed...when opening an application like contacts, if you want to search for a person you can type on the keyboard, however the first press of the keyboard is a number and not a letter...for example, i am looking for the person Tam....you would press 8,2,6 which would show up as TAM...however what shows up is 8AM, as the first keypress becomes numberic...hope that makes sense!

Just for the record, been using my P990 on Opera a lot today and no failures, restarts or problems at all. Used it only on 3G so far. WiFi testing later tonight. Picked-up a tip (may be here or at my-symbian) to delete private data and avoid using the password manager as there is some inherent problem with this component of Opera (does not surprise me as on my M600 the password manager was very very slooooow).

Chaps, we are finally here after months of waiting! What a journey - hopefully SE wont give us such an 'interesting' ride next time!

I agree with the password manager and I gave up using it on M600 after first few tries.

I've just been using opera via wifi (including Johnex stuff - thanks!) and all seems well. Actually the wifi seems quite quick so I'm going to switch my router to G only just to prove to myself that SE haven't sneaked G compatibility in there

edit: nah. its definitly 802.11b compatible only
