@da wanqsta: That is a ridiculous price for the specs. The craziest deal I've seen is one at HiFi Corp...they're selling an MTN Moto V620 for R1200 incl starterpack. Not quite a VS6 but it's still a bargain.

@ brix,
I agree that R1200 plus starterpack for the V620 is damn good value for money.
There are still limited numbers of V620's available on Virgin in the UK,for nearly the same money if using the exchange rate, even though the V635 and the other V series phones have been out for quite some time as well.

@Rhino: A podcast is an audio snippet... It could be part of a radio broadcast or just someone sitting behind his computer rambling about things that only few would find interesting. Podcasts get their name from the iPod, you just dock it into it's cradle and you can download 1000s of free podcasts from iTunes...there's a host of other sites on the net to choose from. Hope I cleared it up.

I almost bought a SL65 for my gf a couple of months ago but the screen resolution just totally put me off (it's big and it's display is ugly). Seems like T-mobile is getting rid of some excess stock. Would be interested to know what a K700i goes for...doubt you'll get one on contract in the UK even though local SP's are still flogging them with added freebies.

T-Mobile still offer the K700 on contract,alongside the K750i.
Here's the link;although the pic in the link is of a D750,the rest of the info refers to the K700.

Orange and O2 don't anymore and Vodafone, well I don't know and I'm not bothered to go to their site.
The only use I now have for Vodafone is for the wife to take advantage of the 'Stop the Clock' PAYG promotion (pay for 1st 3 minutes off-peak and you can then speak free for another 57 minutes) when she phones her sister.
The Nokia 7600 has thus not been put into retirement. |

@Wanqa, do the 57minutes which constitute the remainder of the hour on Stop The Clock have to run all at one go after the initial 3minutes, or may one use them within a certain time limit subsequent to the initial call?

@ Kryptik,
You are not 'bound' to the initial off-peak call and thus can phone again to say, a different landline or Vodafone number without voiding the free minutes or being charged again. You can therefore use up the remaining 57 minutes (to different landline or Vodafone numbers) as you want. This is obviously a daily off-peak 'allowance'. |

That's quite decent! Not shabby at all...
i can think of a few politrixians who could use a deal like that. Lotsa hot air being spouted here with the run-up to local elections.

Say, do any of you guys know how to get my F500i's modem working successfully on the pc? I've tied it with my mates K700i an it works fine but with my fone it just says connecting an then... disconnected. Is it the voda fone live thing? |

@blufyr3: Which profile are you using when trying to connect to your PC? Vodafone Live won't work...can't explain the finer details but suffice to say vlive is free but Vodacom set it up in such a way what you can't use it to connect as a modem.

@Blu
As Brix says you the vlive profile won't work.
By default there should be another profile named vodacom.
If you go into connectivity/data comm. /data accounts
You check the details of that account. It should display the external id.
Normally its 3 for the vodacom account/profile.
When you dial you must dial *99***3# where 3 specify the profile number or external id of the other account.
Hope this helps.
Anyway guys what a wonderfull festive here in Jo-Burg. Gig after gig.
I went to some nice gig last sunday I had a lot of fun. December is really in the house.
