i think even they can be upgraded to jave enable the memory is not enough to support it.
its only a 1mb space.
unless they upgrade our memory too -
the fight between nokia and SE is a commericial problem. dun think it apply to us at the moment regardless who the market leader is.
but main concern is whether SE still can be within our mindset when buying the next handphone, the choice is up to SE.
if they think our mkt is small and neglect us. i think it not worth being a "loyal Customer" if u get nothing out of it.
though technology is the main concern for SE supporters but if SE think as long they can deliver it after others had launch will be good enough by all means switch and let them regret. we are the paying customer and we have the right to choose. SE will wake up when their mkt share fall to the maximum or they will juz pull out and that will be all for us.
for SE ; fail to plan is planning to fail. |

But the Nokia 6610 and 6100 only have around 700kB of memory... They still implement the Java function...
Btw, what is the latest firmware in Sg? I have a non-local set of T68m and would to upgrade it. Do they(SESC) charge me more?
I also have another problem with the dust on the LCD... Look so obvious in the 'clock' mode.... |

anyway i dun have any objection on having java on T68 and already sign on the petition. but having more memory will mean more space to DL more java stuffs and that is my point.current SW is R7A 013.
hope our dreams come true!

First of all, you have to understand why SE is form. SonyEricsson is formed for save Ericsson. But please also remember Sony do have their own line of phone series. Current SE phone has never leave Ericsson design except the outlook !
The phone continue to roll out slow and with bugs. More important, the unable to fix the bug(s) fast and leaving the same bugs from one generation of phone to another ! |

@cscs
I think u r quite unlucky to get faulty SE phones. I had used a T28 for a year and still using a T39m, T68i and T300! All post no prob to me at all. Yes, SE do have some ringtone probs bt on all they are still very good phones.

cscs>- Talking abt old to new mobile phones, I do share your opinions.
Let's be fair, Nokia and Ericsson does have their prime phones in the olden days. I still remember for Nokia they did produce very good models like the 2110, 3210, 8110 (Banana phone) 5110,6110 and 6150 (dual band). Similar to Ericsson, The hotline, GH 388 (Talk of the town phone, I still remember rumours been saying if you key certain nos, ST could not able to record your airtime usage and all your calls are free...
It was once a very high 2nd hand value phone) Than the GH 688 (Consider a bigger screen hp) ... Can remember those phones are non problematic phones. No one complaint, infact every were praising. As what you say is true, those actor and actress in the HK series are 99%Ericsson phone users. Look at today, new technology, new designs, what happen? The more high tech it is, you can find more bugs in it.
More frustration, more Hoo Haa, more fedup with their sw. Sometimes I really want to spray Shelltox on the phone to kill those stupid bugs.
I think this also apply to all high tech products like cars. computers or cameras... Sigh!

Well cscs, I know about Ericsson being Number 1 that time too GH388, GH688 . And I guess they bring it to themselves when Nokia over take them.
To be Frank, sooner or later Nokia might be overtake by samsung which have very good models. And Then another brand and then another brand.
Well Sony and Ericsson handphone department leave their "parent" and form a company Sonyericsson, for sure it will sure keep its own strong area. And Sony Design is sure better than Ericsson which is a good move.
Talk about bug, I think all the phone in the markets also have bugs. it's a just a matter of time or maybe "luck" if you encounter it or not.
There is people have T28 do not encounter the problem at all. But At least I am glad that Ericsson are still brave enough to admit the problem even though it is a bit too late. (better late than never) . Some brands also have batch or model problem but they cover it up better like how Singapore deal with SARS (Singapore being the best country in Asia to "contain" the virus)
So this show how after sales service is so important to keep customer, To me After sales service is still the thing I am looking for when I buy a mobile phone. |
