This is what i faced last few days after troubleshoot it.
The problem is the Phone name is become "Error" instead of "K800i". WTF. It tooks more than 4 days for me to solve this issue. As i need to backup my stuffs from the phone. The phone will OK if u in OFF mode. But if u want to backup the files in PHONE MODE, it prompts out "USB SEMC drivers" hardward cannot be detect even thought u got the USB SEMC driver in ur PC. What i have to format my PC and install the Update service and PC Suite together to solve this issue. After that u need to use XS++ to FLASH ur FW. It works FINE now.. But the problem now is my SMS all gones...  |

Surely there have to be a inspection of what updates the new firmwares brings along?
Why would SE hold that as a secret?
I wonder why they are spitting out so many new FWs for K800, what are they trying to fix.

with medditer custom pack .... and no differences between r8bc004 i don;t know about sound quality cuz i uploaded a mooded driver |

Hello,
Having a problem with my K800i and new Nokia BH-600 i have just bought.
Problem is with voice dialling. Sometimes it works properly but most of the time i voice dial i hear the voicetag repeated from the headset but the k800i just goes to the main screen without actually dialling.
I've updated firmware to R1KG001 but no joy.
Anyone help please?

What you need is APAC_MAIN and APAC_FS. Use the both with same version for stability. Also need APAC customization which is provided if you use XS++3.1.
You can use other region firmware if you want but you may lost your language.
Edit: Firmware flash in SE is 3 parts. FS, MAIN, and customization file (most/not all is provided by XS++). Usually MAIN is generic unless some specialized firmware (branded) and CDA/region like APAC, HONGKONG, TAIWAN, etc all have own MAIN.
Both MAIN and FS should be the same version (eg both R1KG).
Customization should follow you FS (eg EUROPE5_FS need EUROPE5 customization).
You should check you old firmware and follow the same CDA (region).
