a thought on landscape browsing and camera mode.
They should have orientated it the other way (for right handers anyway).
That way the open flip would be in your left palm leaving the right hand to use the stylus

Agreed, perhaps something they will fix in the next update hopefully. |

Highly unlikely to be true - in fact "been rejected by the network" is rarely ever true - especially when it usually comes from phone sales people who are unlikely to ever know what really goes on anyway.
In most cases networks have been involved in a handset's development from a much earlier stage than now and their feedback goes into the development process. I can't seem to find the link right now, but a while ago on another forum there was a post from a guy who actually worked in the industry testing phones for a living, and he explained pretty clearly how the development cycle worked and why these sort of "rejected" rumours are invariably not true.
Network branded handsets can be delayed for a variety of other reasons however. In the case of Orange is is probably taking them a while to work out how to break the phones functionality with their own tat on there instead.

Or waiting to see how sim free sales go for the first two weeks to decide how much money to plug into marketing the product. For example they hardly plugged the Nokia 8800 as they know many people who bought that type of phone bought it sim free so they would make no margin themselves.

I get what you're saying. Maybe the wording is not the best but I'm just quoting him.
I've asked him to see if he can find out why it was 'rejected' |

Just installed MFOP but seems to affect screen sensitivity and harder to install than Brando equivalent.
edit: Opera runs fine even with only 12 mb RAM free

Would I recommend the P990i? Well based on my time with it so far, most definitely yes.
As for use in the US, well I guess that is a judgement call for you to make as to whether you'd need or miss the quad band or extra UMTS frequencies. |
