@phone4video - Thanks for the link... tried the initial suggestion, but I still can't get anything to connect online when on edge or 3g... except for the default browser . The other suggestion there is to call my network and sort it out... I'll guess it'll come to that soon! Thanks again...

I read earlier somewhere in this thread about an X10 user's battery life more than doubling overnight... it happened to me too! I've had my phone for a little past 2 weeks now... and yeah, the battery life sucks. But I guess that's life with a smart phone and a 4 inch screen. I've been clocking in around 12 hours of use (occasional wifi, music via bluetooth... the works) before I have to plug in again. I've done the complete battery drain cycle around 3 or 4 times, and after the last one I did a couple of nights ago, the battery now lasts me the whole day. Shocking cause it didn't happen gradually at all. It's been the same for the past 2 days now, I get through a WHOLE day on a full charge... wifi, bluetooth, music, camera, calls, messaging, etc.

Loving the phone so much, even with crippled edge connection right now. Can't wait for the upgrade to 2.1 though, so I can finally use it with the SE Bluetooth watch I won here last Christmas

@ woz2010 re: bay car charger not working…

I don't think all the USB chargers work with the X10, or other micro USB phones like the N*kia N97 Mini etc… Specially the chargers of the iPods. Did some reading on it on the web and turns out that some phone (X10 included) must have the middle 2 pins of the main USB plug shorted out. This 2 pins are for data. The other 2 pins on each end is what carries the power. I tried it out with a Belkin Micro Car Charger (BEL0445) I had, I asked a friend to short out the 2 middle pins (soldered a wire)… and now it charges my X10!

Just spotted this piece of news over on Endgadget...

Anyone lucky enough to have an X10 already able to confirm it?

Yep. Just went outside work and asked it to navigate me home and it began speaking directions.

Anyone know of any good docking station going for the X10 with built speaker as the X10 speaker is useless?

this worked on my x10. i used it last sunday to go to Long Beach and i was surprised how accurate it was.
anyone who still has doubts and trying to wait for android 2.1 update, i'm saying right now to get the x10, with what the phone has now in terms of capabilities and functions is already enough. the more you focus on what it doesn't have, the more you won't notice the wonderful things this phone can do.

@orbitech, thanks for the info. No wonder I can't use my venturi bluetooth adapter to charge the phone.

Is there any converter for micro usb to mini usb ? I have micro usb cable (from X1), and if I can find converter to mini usb perhaps I can use that to charge the phone

When i used Navigon software on my X10. I couldn't hear any thing as the volume was so low. I have set the volume to maximum level already. Anyone have the same problem using any Satnav programme pls?

yes I had this problem too... I cant remember exactly how I solved it now (changing some specific volume setting or other but i dont remember exactly - might have been the media player volume)... Not that helpful I grant you but at least now you know it can be fixed.

cheers mate! I think i am going to use Google Maps Navigation instead in the future!

Wow it just seems to get better..
A quick question, does anyone else have a more basic BT kit like the HCB 300 that I have in-car? If so just wondering if this works with the X10, and what audio gets through the car speakers and what goes through the phone? During my brief flirtation with an N82 the Nokia Maps instructions came through the speakers but Wayfinder on the C905 come through the Handset...Not very helpful in a noisy car. But thankfully all speech still handled by the car speakers so at least calls are easy. Here's hoping Gmaps directions come through the speakers..

Also does anyone know if there is a GPS based running program like the Sportstracker type thin for Android, which would track a run without eating data? When I do get the X10 I will almost certainly go for unlimited Data, but you never know how limited so called unlimited can be so best t avoid using it if poss?

Thanks for your help

A (possible) solution to your problem (back on page 273), if you've not already solved it..

http://forum.xda-developers.c[....]?t=666220&highlight=enable+wap

I noticed that you haven't posted anything related to this problem lately.
I hope you didn't allready sold your x10's because of this

If you read this, it would be nice to hear if you found a solution.

No luck here again. My service provider has no clue either.
Hoping that the next update would rectify it.
