It's not the operating hrs that are important, it's the service the service center provides that really matters. Just a word of thanks and confidence that I had for the Kallang Pudding SESC

To make it short, does Nokia Service Centre provides FREE replacement spareparts for a phone that does not have any more warranty but died after a firmware upgrade at the service centre?

Cheers

They d upgarde of firware for free even the phone is out of warranty which is something SE never offer. You mention about Kallang SC. I think that is the worse SC I ever seem. For any small problem, they isisted you leave the phone behind !

well, at least my friend who recently visited them had a very good experience. See, its supposed to cost him money to upgrade the phone's firmware, but then they later called him up and told him his phone is dead after flashing! So he went down to the SC and spoke politely to the Customer Service that he would like to speak to a manager or some1 with a higher authority. Though the customer service officer said no managers were around (can u believe it?) on that Saturday, my friend just leave the place and ask for some1 to call him up the following week when some1 is around. Even though it took them almost 2 wks to call him up, the call was a very positive one that the management had agreed to replace the sparepart (which is $208) for him totally FREE, which is out of goodwill.

I think if SE Singapore can continue this type of good customer relationships, they will sure be able to at least maintain their current loyal customers, if not better, woo many many Nokia customers over too. And we, as consumers, should maybe also play our part in that we be as polite as possible (I for one failed this test many times ), and hope that things will work out positively

Nokia's software need constant update cos they have so many things to be corrected so they cant demand user to pay or else they will loose all their customer.

small problem, NCC also ask u to leave the phone behind for thorough checking. just compare NCC with other brand's SC, do u see so long queue everyday ???

@bob_dog_83-> try to do this on ur phone k

go to menu and choose 'connect' then go to GSM network then choose search mode and put it to "Automatic"

my guess is ur search mode is in manual mode that's why when it goes to SOS mode, it wont come out from that mode eventhough the area u're in already have the signal.
