@mediar,
So, anyone who disagrees with you is a Sony fanboy! Let me tell you something you don't realize. You're a butthurt SE fanboy and a Sony hater. I liked the arc design from 2011 but not neo or pro. They look bad and that's my opinion. they have never changed and never will. I have never said that all the phones from 2011 look good, I only liked the arc.
You are the one who is brainwashed. If SE gave you a crappy phone like X10, you would still use it and tell it is the greatest phone on earth. I don't understand what your problem is. Yes zombie apocalypse is happening and I can see who the first zombie is going to be.
I hope you do realize that people are not idiots. I'm not going to throw away 500-600 dollars on a phone because its from Sony. Everyone here has their own viewpoint, learn to respect it. You go around whining, disregarding what others say and treating your little fantasies as truth. You mister, should seriously look into a mirror. The problem is with you and not others. SE's demise has messed up your mind completely.
What's on your mind is not my concern, you're just a blind fanboy consumed with hate. Who are you? Are you significant? Nope. I don't care at all. You have the right to speak, but you have no right to annoy users here. Most of your comments are just hater rants and illogical.

I love the Sony designs,like.no.other on the market. Yes they made a few that look similar but most manufacturers do i.e. Samsung. Not all Sony phones look the same, they made some different designs like the stunning looking Sola which I want

Can we please get back to the topic this thread was created for?
Does anybody have an idea whether Sony is done for the year or are there still a couple of devices in the pipeline waiting to be outed?

I'm still hoping Sony can satisfy a very high paying yet niche market:
Full Touch Screen and qwerty?
edit: killed of any & all comments about patents; its getting old.
I really like the NXT device design lineup ... Xperia S is still beautiful back to front, the Xperia Ion as well and Xperia P or the SL. I'm debating getting the Xperia SL (slightly more performance than the S) or the Ion (grey market its seriously cheap).
The TX or V are very nice; but the rear of each feel like the designers gave up ... a bland back that has a "in the hand grip only purpose". Its as if Sony lost something when leaving Ericsson ... I still love that Dual-Front design esthetique ... because it showed just how SE realized that although the User pays most of the attention to the Front of the device, marketing is all about the back of the device 80% of the time for others seeing your phone.
Some things Sony MUST due to increase is potential success:
1. Global Sony Mobile Gaming and Sony Media: Game titles and Movies/TV/Streaming should be available globally for all their Xperia lineup!
2. Capitalize on PS3's success ... have games developed where the smartphone is the controller or that users can play head to head while mobile in the PlayStation Network with PS3 console players without either seeing the difference in their own gameplay field of view!!
3. Advertise correctly!!
I want to see varying videos of the Xperia lineup used by varying demographics (not just teenagers too busy to get laid and drug; nothing wrong at all with either, but Adults party or share experiences just the same amount just differently). I want to see SmartWatch shown as USEFUL in a daily life setting but not just for business users, but that teenage boy who's the hood playa, or the chiquita who's a hoodrat and playing the boys?! Savvy?!
Show how the users USE the products for their amusement, productivity, enjoyment, how it matches their home/car decor or their varying headsets of choice (accessories opportunity)!! Don't waste time & money on how strange kids can RUN (if you're not showing a stopwatch this is useless), or how strange kids can smile or dance (if picture taking or video's are NOT being done, again useless for millions of dollars), OR about a particular device suits one's lifestyle and dress code so to speak.
The KEY is how does THIS Xperia work well for ME not ME working well to fit IT! People are users, not the devices we use - did we learn nothing from the original Tron?!

Interesting.....It must have caused images to look a little washed out. I guess the experiment didn't work. |

BAD
The main change is that it has removed the RGBW coding function from the sensors. This feature would have captured clearer images in low light due to the inclusion of a white pixel in addition to the RGB matrix. |

@randomuser or the other insider guy I forgot the username (sorry )
Any info on what we can expect for 2013? Any QWERTY device? Bigger or smaller screens? Material? Anything?
For now, as far as i know, is:
Q1-2 devices will be ion-like. The Q3 are going to beat the s**t out of the rest of the companies?
What I want for Q3 devices? Just to give my opinion and ask for others (no, I don't want yours, mediar):
-Aluminium Body. Dark silver, with chrome-like buttons.
-S4 Pro processor
-2 Gb RAM
-64 Gb internal storage + MicroSD slot (64 Gb is enough for me, but more is better) (btw, as a curiosity, why all the internal storage sizes are on this order: 2-4-8-16-32-64-128-etc Gb?)
-At least 720p screen, 4.8, more or less (what are other possible screen resolutions, between 720p and 1080p?)
-NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 (or if something news is launched till there)
-Body size at somewhat close to 130 mm in height.
-True Walkman sound
-True Cybershot camera tech. 16 Mp 16:9 sensor.
- Camera button.
Forgot any important thing not mentioned?

I think there will be an Xperia Nexus, the insider Black Man X just tweeted:
Is it Moto sourced or LG's line.. and will Sammy lose another billion this time?
The trick is to take all the lessons learned. Branch the tree and give several a turn. One for the Geek? One for the mom?
So who might these leaves be? a Japanese brand with plenty of play?
a Korean that knows quite well the PDK?

There is no way that you or I would have any idea. The thing was designed by optical and electronic engineers who must have seen some other disadvantage to the extra white subpixel, for example the image could appear washed out with low colour saturation. Just because it had potential, doesn't mean it fullfilled it.
We may see it again in the future once any technological shortcomings are fixed. |

Again I have to to subscribe to Mediars observations! Although Sony is IMO the leading company in terms of design, they have to often repeated the same design language and released to many phones with undiscernible features and denomination. T, Tx, Gs, Gs, S, P, U etc....
Who but a blinded fanboy rould not admit that this seems very erratic?
And, although the design leaves not much room for complain, the built quality indeed does!
Again, if Sony did everything as perfectly as we inhere want to believe they do, then why arent they doing well at all?
I think they learned and they are improving but to be honest, are quite far away from a major breakthrough.
But maybe secong half of 2013 as randomuser suggested.
Another fact is, apple is at the end of their hell ride of success!
