Got the C905 today, it's the best SE phone I've ever had, I got it for a fantastic price, $525 USD. Will do a writeup after I use it a bit. |

Man, Sony Ericsson really need to sort their facts out:
From the C905 advertisement seen here:
"Now you can print your photos as big as you like with the new 8.1MP C905 Cyber-shot phone..."
And from the press release about that advertisement (a press release for an ad?!) seen here:
"Upload photos to your own online blogsite or print your photos with fantastic resolution, up to A3 size"
Come on SE, which is it? A3 certainly doesn't say much for the quality of the C905, as my Sony T2 is 8MP and can do A1 size (at least) in good quality, but then I certainly can't print "as big as I like" with my T2 photos so I doubt the C905 can...
You can always print "as big as you like", that doesn't mean it's necessarily gonna be good quality. I can print my K700 VGA pictures as big as I like, but because the resolution is only VGA, I'm only going to "LIKE" them when printed at 6x4 maximum. So, 6x4 is "as big as I like". Get it?
And imho, A3 is pretty large to print a camera phone picture and still "like" the end result. If it can print that large and still be good quality then I think that's bloody good.
It's massively expensive to print at A3, most people who would print at that size either have an A3 printer (which itself is several times more expensive than a standard A4 bubble jet but still way cheaper than a photo kiosk if you alrady have the printer), or they are a professional and wouldn't be bothering with camera phones anyway.

mm lets hope that is the case...
my friend who also have a c905 have issues with the slider after one week of use.. when slider is out it feels loose/wiggles sideways.. =/
that also triggers the microswitch so that the phone locks/unlocks/locks and so on..every time you touch the slider...
(i personally haven't (yet) noticed any problems with mine.. =O)
/H
I don't believe that for a second, sorry. The slider mechanism doesn't work like that. The phone locks when the slider goes down, and only when it's half way. An open slider would have no effect on locking the phone.
He can't have had the phone for a week yet anyway.

I'm with marty, the slide switch is triggered by a magnet, so unless a magnet gets close enough to trigger the switch, nothing will happen

guys i have few questions can anyone help me ...
1.) i am a k850 user and u all know how it sucks.... it doesnt take a good photo.... and after having such a let down with SE flagship , i dont want to jump to another one right away ... so tell me why , or wht are the major things things/feature in c905 which u think will make a impression for others..
2.) is the UI faster ?? if so how fast.. i mean is it like k750 or k800 or k850 ( slowest one )
3.) does playing music player slows down the whole phone ???
4.) wht is the ram size and processor speed compared to k850 ?
5.) is 8 MP really works ?? i mean look at k850... only the ones who are expert can tweak iso`s , etc to get the best one .. others have to accept wht the phone gives us...
6.) is the any design defect like rattling sound on the back in k850 , flawes keypad ( the one underneath the keys ), and other things... i am seeing lots of things regarding the slider , wht about it ?? is it a flaw ??
7.) How well can i multitask with this one ??
8.) how is the battery life ... ??
9.) how about the sound clarity ???
thnks in advance ... i hope these are the questions many k850 users will be willing to ask to mive on to the next SE phone if these above questions make them happy...
waiting for the reply guys ....

GSM Arena gave the picture quality on this phone a better rating than Phone Arena did for some reason. Though from what i have seen picture quality is very good the best i have seen on a mobile so far. Im getting one in near future. A gold one. Though im not a huge fan of sliders i wish this phone was candy bar though that would have meant smaller screen. |

The photo quality is really outstanding. GSM arenas photos are really good. If this weekend is good weather, I'll go out and take a whole new batch.

Can someone please tell me if they have been able to use the DLNA feature with a PS3 or XBOX 360 also I believe WMP11 would be able to detect the C905 on the network as well. To my knowlage this is the first phone that does this and no one seems to be taking advantage of it.
This would be great if someone could poist there experience with this feature
thanks in advance.
No problem to use the DNLA with a PS3. Have not tryed with WMP11. |
