No GPRS problems here for me, Sim Free from CPW UK on Vodafone.
Another new thing I noticed is the "Mega Bass" logo if you select it in the equalizer in the media player. |

I am in Norway and GPRS works fine with both NetCom and Telenor on my phone. |

Notes on my upgrade: I have upgraded my Voda version, which went perfectly smoothly. Took roughly 20 min including downloading Flash driver. GPRS works fine. Still Voda branded post-upgrade.
Question: However, a question for you knowledgeable types... How do I know if there is a more recent version of the firmware available? I know how I find out what version I'm using, but as far as I am aware, it never said on the the site what version was now out. Do you just regularly begin the process andnsee if anything happens? Surely there is a smarter way! |

Dont forget this firmware isnt supported yet on the O2 Network, hence why it isnt working yet. You will find the same with D500's bought from The Link or Phones4U - they are not accredited for use on the O2 Network using their firmwares. No matter what we do, we cannot get them fully working.
On the 20th, when O2 start re-selling the K750i, that firmware WILL be accredited.
One guy at work upgraded his O2 K750i yesterday - will ask him if his GPRS works fine... |

Have any of you that have gprs problems re-installed the settings? Perhaps the data profiles got corrupted, you can have the settings sent to you by SE via their site. |

Yep - I've had the settings resent from O2 and from SE, also entered them manually.
Also tried a master reset.
Nothing - still no MMS (GPRS), Email (Mobileweb) or WAP (GPRS WAP)

Thats strange....i'm O2 uk branded k750i....when i first finished the upgrade my GPRS wasn't working but NEITHER did my S700i which had been fine....
When i was sat in the airport on tuesday morning, GPRS was fine again...on BOTH S700 and K750
Here in the netherlands until friday and GPRS is working too...
I think O2 might just be having network trouble with GPRS generally since there would be no reason for my S700 to have troubles..
I don't think this is necessarily a K750 exclusive problem....it might be worth calling O2 about their GPRS network status |

@ killhippie (great nick btw
Can you try a different network with gprs? Perhaps this is only O2 related? |

I too have an O2 branded K750i which, on upgrade, will not send/receive MMS and on which GPRS no longer works.
I have re-entered settings, both by download from SE and as dictated by O2 tech support, done a master reset all to no avail. After 15 minutes of trying the O2 guy put me through to their Network support people. 30 Minutes later it still wasn't working and he told me to take it back to the shop for an exchange.
GPRS was working fine in my area as moving my SIM into my K700 showed.
My next step is to ring an SE service centre and see if they can flash this back to the old software level.
Can those who have flashed their phones and are on O2 answer the following:
Is your phone O2 branded ? If so does GPRS/Picture messaging work after the flashing ?
If your phone is NOT O2 branded (whether from an O2 shop or not) does GPRS/Picture messaging work after flashing ?
If your phone doesn't work, are you able to put another service providers SIM in your phone, enter the settings and get GPRS working ?
What is needed is to see whether this problem is limited to O2 branded phones, or phones on the O2 network. Then SE may have something to go on.
As a matter of interest, has anyone contacted SE yet about this ?

In reply to daveyj, did what you suggested on your post
my k750 is an o2 branded one, I updated last night (regret i now) and since the GPRS / mobileweb / mms settings fail to work (settings not valid etc..) I put my T-Mobile sim in my k750i and set the T-Mobile GPRS up and it was fine. Similarly I put my o2 sim in my trusty k700i and I could use o2 GPRS fine..
i have e-mailed both o2 and se for answers! will post again if any sense comes of it!
cheers

I sent an email to SE yesterday, no reply as yet - I'll keep you updated.
My phone is from an O2 store, therefore comes with the O2 theme etc - I guess this is what you mean by branded?
It's not locked to the O2 network, however. |

The GPRS problem can not be network related, since there is several phones with the same problem and different providers. I've re-flashed (did try the recovery mode), master reset, re-entered the account info, got account info sent from SE, and got it sent from Telenor.... This has to be a firmware problem showing up on phones under spescial conditions... Might be so lame that flashing the phone with BT on gives this mal-function (just an example for illustrating).
Oh, btw....my phone is unbranded 05W18

THen how fo you explain that , as Sheffpete said, it works with a t-mobile gprs account (and sim of course) and not with O2.
Seems to me its an interaction between certain O2 phones and the new firmware.
