I can't imagine Sony would remove the front facing speakers on the Z4 compact and then re-position a single speaker on the back of the phone, it just wouldn't make sense especially as some of the early rumors pointed towards a big step up in the audio department.

I am curious why Sony has opted for a different LED position on the Z4C. On the current Z3C, the led is to the side of the camera and not underneath it like the larger Z3. This was the same pattern on the Z1C.
I am wondering if the Z4C has grown in size now and instead of 4.6 in screen is 4.8?
I don't think Sony would go to a single rear speaker, would be a step backwards. Perhaps the LED is for video, and the xenon for photos if it is this. |

But is there flashlight bleed on the current Z3C? I thought this was only an issue on the Z1C? The LED on the Z3C is further from the camera so the flashbleed should not be an issue.
checking XDA Z3C forum, general area, I can't see any specific threads for flashlight bleed on z3c.

Ah sorry, i thought u mean Z3c , they changed it coz of z1c flash bleed. And as we can see its Huawei p7, not z4c

Could be a mic fir video recording with high quality audio. They released it as an accessory for z2 but maybe its a built in now. Talk about exclusive features right? |

As other wrote, it wouldn't make any sense to ditch the stereo speakers from the next compact and on top of that make a speaker face the back of the phone. i don't want to imagine sony consumer and fans and reviewers getting to rage mode and sony will be shooting themselves in the head.  in short, would never happen. it's like going backward. think about it for a bit.
speaking about the compact, we know the so called z4c cases did not hold much ground so it's not surprising that it's p7 case and the acessories from amazon were looking pretty fake. as i thought, hiyu and miku' proved their reliability and no other reliable source claimed compact or ultra is coming soon. by now we only have z4 and z4 tablet reliable info. the chance that sony is prepping a compact or ultra for mwc is 0 by now.

@ amirprog Moving the speakers to the back would be a wrong move by Sony, so I totally agree with you on that matter. But IF that case would have been the real deal, then that cut-out would only have been for the speaker like it is on the Huawei P7.

If we take these leaked drawings for real, then the back cover of the Z4 (which kinda look like a Galaxy Alpha) could be removable.

Not much seems to be right on that page you link to.
The Xperia Z3 does NOT have a 5.5" display.
A lens with 10x optical zoom to the Xperia Z4 sounds as legit as a waddling emporer penguin in the desert.

The cover didn't make sense for the Z4C with the moved flash from the side to below the camera, I knew something was off.
The FCC docs could be Z4. I wonder if the detachable back plate will have any effect on the waterproofing, since then you can have the microSD and sim inside the device under the cover and no more flaps on the side. This could mean the side bezels could be smaller or at least less complicated since they would not need waterproofing for the flaps.
I wonder if we will have any leaks before MWC. |
