I've bought a case (silicon tpu) and a bumper
But.. they are both useless. They affect the network and wireless signal.
Tested in same position
Without case:
- network signal: 4 lines
- wifi download: 2.07 Mbps
With case:
- network signal: 2 lines
- wifi download: 0.69 Mbps
Got a few scratches by cleaning the back of the phone with cloth (my bad).
Got also some chips on that shitty premium aluminium edges. And I took care of this. Image this after a few more months.. it will look as it was in a war!
How ironic, they put premium materials that you cannot mask because you got other issues. Gogo Apple!
So if I need signal, I have to use it without any protective case on. Gr8.

Also I would recommend to view the iphone 5 official video, the part where John Ive worship the finished metallic edge. Seriously? If they didn't go for that edges design it would be much better.. but bleah. I cannot understand. Even a mediocre may come with a better solution...

You managed to dent the aluminium using a cloth !?
Anyway, heres a little story. Ive changed jobs this year and the new place im training, the manageress has an iPhone 4.
Some of her opinions are wild indeed. She thinks iPhones are the best phones. Now i entitle her to that opinion if thats what she likes, but she had some major false knowledge. It was laughable. She said when i asked her on the following questions:
" the iphone is best because its the most popular"
not really, its outsold by mainly Samsung here in the UK and in other countries by every competitor out there.
" it has the most features "
well, when i asked where she put her memory card she thought it was on the sim card, so no not really
" it has the best screen "
clearly not, since Apple themselves increased the screen size with the 5, so i dont think they'd call it the best either !
" it can do more than any other phone "
i asked her to Bluetooth me a picture, open up a file explorer (on said memory card) and tell me about NFC
" NF what ?"
Typical.

I have that same iOS Photos folder on my Facebook account. Dunno how it happened 'coz I never created one in the first place. Must've accidentally done something while using the Facebook app on my iPhone. The folder's empty, though.

Lazeeboy,
I think that iOS folder is created when logging

Not by the app itself

etaab, yes... lol. she's a typical iSheep* )
And about iphone "sheep" users. One said that android sucks and people buy that OS because they can't afford iphone.. Oh dear.. Or the ones that judges the "cheap plastic" of Samsung phones.. the truth is that those "cheap plastic" phones survive better in time than the material-expensive iphone 5/4s etc.
I can tell that because I actually own also a "cheap" Samsung Galaxy S2 and in almost 2 years no problem! The home button works perfectly. I've dropped so many times (including on hone) and the protective coating layer from front edges has pilled off on impacts. That's all what happened. And I can say that I abused that S2..
Anyway, I do LIKE the iPhone 5. I really like it**. But it doesn't deserve it's price (considering the problems) and I hate the people that consider themself superior just by owning one.

I'll repeat as i always do, i like the iPhone alot, from the 4 onwards they're very nice phones. Its just Apple i cannot stand.
I heard another story yesterday, where one iPhone 5 owner was bothered about her phone being laggy. Turns out she never turned the thing off and on again. Now we all know iPhones dont multitask, but theres always some digital crap left in ram even when an app is closed or paused in the iPhones case.

It is multitasking but limited to some activities, eg: music streaming, notification polling, e-mail sync, etc. Yes, in most cases the apps are paused when not in foreground.
Btw, on my s2 i got an uptime of about 1 month.. and had to restart it because of dpi change. Custom aokp ROM. It was ok, no sign of need for restart. And I was using everyday, more or less.
I didn't had the chance to test the iphone 5 uptime because i've got a lot of crashes because some cydia tweaks (auxo, uninstalled right now)

Have you noticed one thing about those things which are able to multitask and run in the background ? they're all system apps which come preinstalled.
The iDevices cannot multitask full stop, because Apple choose it to be that way. Only their apps which are core to the OS and interface are allowed through their strict controls.
Which is silly, because they're powerful devices which are capable of much more.

I think that this video can be very helpful since I see that there is a lot of confusion and misinformation regarding iOS multitasking

@etaab music with (some) 3rdparty apps plays in background. And there are other type of action allowed to run in background, cannot recall.
But yeah, most of the apps pause when you put them on background. For most of the cases this is OK, but in case you need something to run even if you switch to another app (for eg: a download).. Hope a cydia tweak will appear. There was Backgroundr (or smth like that) for older iOS
Edit: @ardzuna just watched that video. Interesting, so there are multiple services allowed to run in background.. it's just the app that need to use the proper APIs.
Btw, do you know any task/process manager that shows current CPU and RAM for each task directly on the phone? The single solution I've found was via top command line..

Like ive probably said in this very thread, my sisters jogging app pauses if she presses the home button, stops recording her workout and turns off the GPS tracking. Mine, still keeps working as if it was on the screen.
So its not proper multitasking. Its not useless, but its too limiting for me.
I was on a training course today with 9 other people and the trainer. Thats 10 other people in the room with me. All but me and the lady sat next to me had iPhone 4 or 4S phones. Talk about feeling out numbered !
Oh and the trainer had two iPhone 4's - one business and one personal !
