anyone got ideas on how to speed up the camera?
i.e. disabling some auto settings in it, so it takes faster pictures.
Or a method to leave it running in background

Just keep trying to resize when you select picture, it will take a few goes but you will be able to do it

Superior auto, maybe. HDR doubtful. At least on Z, the way HDR is implemented requires hardware support.

New FW 6.1.1.B.1.89 is on its way.

I didnt update as the camera bug is still present in .75
Going to wait for the JB update which Sony says will have the camera bug fixed.
