If not,Nokia should declare bankruptcy
Ps.: The only thing better on N8 is the details.
Colors are better with satio. You need only adjust the EV.

i would not say the Satio colors are "better" , only that they have been warmed up by post processing, which can easily be done on the N8.
The Satio is a great camera, , there is no denying this , and I am a fan as my last 2 phones were , but even trying to say that Satio camera is better than the N8 is just silly.

In fact, and I've been comparing many 100% crops, I think that Satio captures the same (if not more) detaisl than the N8. However this may be caused because of the different focal lengths, as Satio gets "closer" to the subject.
Yeah, Satio seems to have nicer colours but the N8 has that covered with the in-camera saturation, contrast and sharpness personalization. This really is the major fault in Satio in my opinion... Oh, the Satio has an advantage over N8, which is the camera-activator cover, much more convenient!

No fellas , Nokia N8 is better than Satio. Why? Because N8 have wide angle optics( little worse ) , N8 have biggest sensor 1/1.83" , N8 have great natural colors and soft image. Other question is how close N8 shot in MACRO.

It's just a compliment for Satio, what you say - Nokia needs a bigger sensor to make same quality. Think about that. For all the time of cameraphones, everyone trying to fight with SE........and fail! |

I'm not problem with N8, because I have greates Pixon12 Satio have problem with N8. If I had to choose cameraphone for photography I would prefer N8. |

N8 have the biggest sensor n wide angle optic...u right friend..but it doesn't mean it have more good quality pic than satio...imo its all about preference...in my view side i like satio coz it have nice warm color n dont know why i said more realistic...but sometime if i want more dramatic shoot...i think n8 will be my choice then...but as a good cameraphone, i feel so sorry to n8 that dont have a lens cover...its a must for me...if all of still said that n8 better than satio its ok...but all of u must realize that satio still a powerfull fighter cameraphone... |

guys, you got to remember that all of these phones (even my old W760) can take great daytime photos. So you are never going to see a huge difference in these conditions.
Even saying that, what you guys must also realize is that the N8 is giving you a very close to natural representation of what the actual scene looked like with almost no post processing noise or artifacts.
That is tremendously valuable, because you can always change the N8 settings so pictures look like the Iphone4 or Satio. but you can never make Iphone4 or Satio pictures look "natural" like the N8.
Where the N8 shines, and most of these comparisons fail to show is any kind of low light/night time picture comparison.
This is where the N8 will blow away the competition due to its larger sensor.
Its not a the daytime pics we really should be comparing, its pictures where the conditions are not ideal.
This is where N8 will blow away the competition. IMO

It's funny to read it because nokia have always been the warmer colors than the Sony Ericsson's phones since years (remember N85, N95, N73, N82, 5800, N79, 6700 ect ...) and today the N8 suddenly produce colder colours (more natural than the other Nokia phones) and it's suddenly satio that produces colors that are too warm! lol
For the colour rendering of the Satio read this : gsmarena
For me the N8 is certainly better than Satio to use because is a bit more powerfull, it have a capacitive screen, better hardware ect...but for the camera : sometimes you have blurry area in pics, the wide angle give optical distortion and the xénon flash is less powerfull than the Satio.
Sorry for my english.

People are wrong about better xenon flash built in satio. N8 may have a smaller xenon but it doesn't mean it's not as effective as the bigger xenon flashes. Due to more advanced hardware capabilities of n8 such as bigger sensor, its pictures in low light will be much better than satio. This can easily be seen without using xenon. And while you use xenon, it doesn't really matter whether it's powerful or not when you take pictues of close objects because both xenon flashes can produce enough power to lighten up that close objects. When it comes to taking not close objects, let's say 5-6 meters, satio will not be able produce enough light while n8 produces brighter and less noised images. We can observe that if somebody adds a low light comparison. |

By the way, in daylight, it's very normal that both cameras take very crisp and detailed pictures. One is the best of SE and the other is the best of Nokia. We cannot except the difference between photos to be huge. I prefer n8 to take pictures because it covers bigger area and its colours are more natural to me. Someone else might prefer satio because of opposite reasons. What I'm trying to say is that we should compare low light shots.

I've see N8 pictures indoor with flash and nightshots. It is incredible how many noise they have.
they are unwatchable.
