I talk to an iphone game developer just few moments ago and he told me that developing games on iphone is much easier than on any other platforms around no wonder why iphone is quickly eating mobile phone game platforms like ngage. i have just played with an iphone game and was impressed with the touchscreen gaming: something that nokia and SE have failed. only if SE have used capacitive or at least projective capacitive(supports multitouch finger and stylus) then theres a reason to say SE can pose a threat on iphone gaming.

I dont know how many are developing for Ngage, but considering that there are now well over +30 Ngage2 games and still counting its still looking pretty good IMO, and then theres also the Quake port games and some others that require graphics acceleration,im sure Satio will be well supported, theres still some very dedicated Symbian Freaks out there.
30+? Impressive...not. Besides that...its seeing how devs like Gameloft, regarding the same game, release a crap version on ngage, while release a superb one on the iphone platform.

if you say so. . . .IMO Ngage is just fine, games arent ridiculously large just for 10mins of play, their graphics are decent, heck The One (Ngage game) is an awesome game, reminds me of Tekken, and having a phone with dedicated gaming buttons makes it even better,so is Fifa. +30games is more than most dedicated mobile gaming platforms have gotten, i mean the W900 got like what? 5 actual GPU games? Ngage is fine for the casual game, otherwise whipout the PS3 or the Wii.

Spotted one at the FIFA u21 Final in Malm (20 km southwest of Lund with Sony Ericsson's offices) yesterday. Software seemed to be stabile by the small amount of time I was able to see the phone.

are you kidding me? Theres already THREE Quake ports for Symbian S60 thanx to PIPS. Theres already Quake1 GPU and Non-GPU, Quake2 Arena GPU and Non-GPU and Quake3 currently for GPU last i checked.
I had Doom since mid last year on my N81, im actualy busy Mapping the keys for Doom so i can use my Music keys as gaming buttons as well, they are already on Symbian, for a while now.

Yes there are Doom and Quake ports to virtually every computing platform known to man, hacked together by enthusiasts - it's virtually the first thing anyone does, and I daresay those same clunky ports were already long available for jailbroken iPhones.
But these are 100% genuine, custom built versions created by the original developer, specifically for the iPhone - not mere ports. There's a big difference.
