I don't understand. This forum is for people to post pictures from c902, and for others to enjoy them. Why do we always enter into senseless arguments about insignificant off-color, minor loss of details, not posting the full 5 mp resolutions for every pictures, etc?
I am not siding plank here, but it is equally irritating to see so many posts asking him why he dare not post the full 5-mp pics where he in fact did put up quite many 5-mp pics already. I think its enough, and that 1024x768 resolutions is big enough for us to enjoy the pics in this forum.
I don't even dare to post any more pics here, for fear that I will also be scorned for posting 1 mp pics cos I have no guts to show the flaws in 5mp pics. Come on, c902, though still have some flaws, is already one of the top 5 mp phones around. Can't we just sit back and enjoy the pics?
I agree that it's OK to post scaled-down photos in this thread. But those photos posted in the Photos gallery should be the original, unedited photos. I thought the point with the gallery was to demonstrate camphone quality?! How can this be done when the photos have been scaled down, throwing away 4.3 out of 5.0 megapixels? What can we expect when the C905 hits us? 800x600 in the gallery? Or maybe people will be brave enough to post whopping one megapixel photos?

Yup, sure, I agree that the Gallery is the place to post full size pics, not in this thread.
So shall we just enjoy the pictures posted in this thread, without demanding the need to post full-size pics? Instead of just criticising how bad the pictures were, maybe we can share tips on how to get good pictures. |

like i said before. i NEVER use photo dj or some else software to adjust my pictures. (i tried it when i just got the phone on one or two pictures, who i have been erase by the way, so people like Perfect dosent need to worrie about some color-editing).
so Perfect, all my Pics is now fully original. (and yes, they produce better colors then your beloved Secret, so dream on padro...he he he). and im sooooo sorry that i forgott to telling everyone about the last picture i played with, it was the very same day, bad memory i guess.
C902 is a real fullblood point & shoot camera, (with some knowledge about photographing) its optimal for snapshoots with good quality. (and yes, even in full size). the color reproduction is (in my oppinion) the best among all cell phones. it gives best natural colors

Great pictures. I have the C902 with the lastest firmware (swedish), but my phone doesn't produce half of the quality of that I see in your photos!
I have tried messing around with landscape modes and other settings, but still can't get that sharp and detailed photos of yours.
Right now I'm using: 3MP (since I never print out anything), Auto on everything and "High" on Quality setting.
Please share some photographing tips for achieving those great photos! |

great pics as usual...
What I want to know is, if we drop the image to 3mp will their be less noise when viewing in full size? The camera doesn't really need 5mp does it? I am sure it will produce just as nice pics on 3mp, high setting...
I will try it and post the results.

This is the image shot in cloudy setting, 5mp, fine. Everything else default
This is the (almost) same image shot in 3mp, cloudy, fine. Everything else default.
Can't tell the difference to be honest, even in full screen to me they look the same..
Does 5MP actually mean a thing? I don't think it means that much to be honest |

Of corse there is no difference, the resizing works by the phone using its software to resize the pic which can mean the pics dont look as sharp as the phones resizing software is crappy, you should always use the max resolution and resize them urself using better software. Even though you select a smaller resolution the sensor is still divided up into 5mp resolution so no matter what size you select the pic is always taken in the 5mp resolution.

Good tool is Infraviewer. Allows me to resize images perfectly and allows batch resize. Make sure you tick resample. |
