If you don't, read the manual.

i did read manual but didnt see that as i dont really use wrting with stylus but i did find the manual a bit basic and it doesnt really tell you alot about anything thats why i joined this forum as it has people who know alot about phones.

..strange how the manual omits things like "And by the way: to write things down, you can type single characters on the screen, which is essentially the same as typing on the keyboard, or clicking a letter on the virtual keyboard". Or don't have a keyword- search for "that triangle thing", explaining how it "turns up when a program accepts input, and handwriting recognition is turned on".

some ppl buy expensive toys and don't even know how to use them...And what's worse - don't even bother to read the manual?!?

I had a white paper at the university about a tool that would help ppl so that they don't have to read manuals...And there was this line - "Who reads manuals these days anyways?"

Yeah obviously not many ppl do - that's the problem

P.s. Back to topic - any new firmware coming up? Any new bugs to report?

Yeah - "Chapter I: How this paper is supposed to be read/used".

..But seriously, I had never seen the triangle before, and I flipped through the menus expecting something like "The interface". So after trying for a while, and getting a letter typed in, I ended up looking at the help- files under "handwriting recognition" - and that mentioned the triangle. So it told me very little, really, unless I knew what it was on beforehand.

Hi guys.

I've updated to the latest firmware a while ago.

It's alright so far except the radio. The scanning won't detect any stations (with the SE earphone plugged). It worked before.

Does anyone know why?

Hong Kong btw.

Thanks a lot.

Nope. The lookup is kind of slow compared to how it is when just opening the contacts program by itself. Anyone feel free to file a bug in the wiki, and/or demand better contact integration.

edit: now that I think about it, it's probably slow because the contact application sorts out only the mobile phone numbers (and removes contacts without a mobile number) when you're adding a contact from the sms- writer. The same way it sorts out the e-mail addresses when writing an e-mail and adding a contact, and so on.

I , for example, have over 700 entries in my phone-book and I am patiently waiting for it to open and when I search it it takes around 2 seconds for each letter to be written, even if I write it very quick. I don't think it's a bug, Ericsson was ALWAYS slow with menus.

I'm in HK updated with this new version but found problems for the BB connect (version 4.79)
1. re-connect after the signal is weak, sometimes it showed I'm not registered but some email still come in.
2. I can write Chinese in outgoing email but all Chinese characters are disappeared in all incoming Chinese emails.
3. it looks like much delay in email pushing when compare with my last blackberry 8800.
Anyone could help, especial for above point 2, please. Or is the update too fast that blackberry side still not support for Chinese at the moment in this version??
