Okay... I couldn't wait until Monday so I went and bought the damn phone (my girlfriend couldn't handle my excited state any longer and also suggested we went and bought it). Bottom line: T310 + MCA25 = 246 USD (with orange contract). Here are the details:
R3B003
prgCXC125505
LCD SW Versions
Test: 200211040
Current: 200211040
Customization MS
CDA 102184 R2A
Is the software OK? I can't see the hardware version or the manufature week because of the damn holographic sticker (it's meant to prove that the phone was imported by SE Romania through official channels). I really love the little guy - the only trouble is that apparently the orange morons forgot to activate the unlimited wap option so now i get a huge error while trying to browse and the only thing i am allowed to access is the orange wap portal. It reads: "Service is not part of the active profile". Any thoughts on that and the software version? |

@MaThIbUs: do you mean that's a hardware problem? |

No it's not, but I don't think this setting can be changed by us, customers...

The software version is the latest, it has got sync and a calendar. To transfer pics, you can also send an MMS (but that's kinda e-mail though) or use a Sony Ericsson data cable...

MaThIbUs mentioned earlier that i could also send pictures to the pc using the cable. i've got the drs 11 but i was unable to figure out how to do it. is this really possible or am i just doomed to send them via e-mail? |

What is wrong with irda?
I think it is only possible to send pictures to the phone via cable.

i've got nothing against it. i'd even us it if only i had an ir port on my pc. i was used with my t39 which has all the options available: cable, bt and ir. so now i'm stuck with sending the pictures via e-mail (since MMS is expensive and, as far as i know, does not support 640*480 and i don't have an ir eye for my pc, as mentioned earlier). and yes, this is what i knew too: that it was only possible to sent pictures TO the phone, not receive from it using cable. i was just hoping that MaThIbUs was right and i just didn't comprehend the process... |

I bought a ir dongle for my computer, it was £24 in the uk at the time when I got my t300 though you can get them cheaper now, I think it was really good value as it can be used with different phones, unlike a data cable which is risticted to one type of phone or evan one phone model.

Where is a good place to look for a irda device? Currently confused, my t300 was calling itself a t310 for awhile. Bought a couple of mophun games for my so called t310, recently changed the model name back to t300 and the games still can be downloaded. So i was wondering if the wap site checks the model name and imei before allowing the download. Because i have changed the model name on the site from t310 to t300 for it to work. Therefore if i change imei it should be able to be downloaded on to another

@Mathibus
it is?
@judge
Hmm... Its not entirely correct. The manual from SONY ERICSSOn says that you can only sed pic 80*60, 160*120 through MMS. Thats not true att all. The thing is that it depends on the carrier, the operator. I can actually send all sizes through MMS. It works on all phones eccept NOKIA and maybe other phones, but works fine on SONY ERICSSON. I can send 320*240 and 640*480.
