This is really stupid. If the lens cover is behind the glass, why the heck do you need the lens cover in the first place?? A no use mechanism (lens cover) that can go wrong.

There must be a reason for the extra cover. Im sure all will be revealed when reviews come in. |

So that you will not accidently damage the lens cover while the phone is in your pocket,resulting it not able to close the lens properly and thus will cause dust to enter the lens or scratched by your keys??? |

It's better this way. No matter what, the glass would get dirty even with the lens protector in front of the glass. This way makes it impossible to get grease in between the glass and lens protector. It's actually some pretty good thinking. And please.. if it wasn't going to work, then they wouldn't have done it. It's not like they let a kid and his friend do the drawings / plans and tests. |

You didnt think this thru. The whole purpose of the lens protector is to reduce the lens from getting dirty. Now the lens get dirty easily which defeats the purpose of the lens cover in the first place. |

Then what is that mesage Goldenface quoted. See my quote a few posts up. It insinuates that the K850 wont be out till xmas. |

First, when k850i was showed, I was happy.
But, when I saw more held up the specs, I felt a bit disappointed.
I see that there is no great improvement from k810i.
So, I will wait for next year, with my w800i... |

What are you talking about? Its 5MP, better video, better menus, new walkman interface, faster data transfer speeds.

"The K850i has been designed with standard compact camera features, and bears an almost identical look and feel to a compact camera.
It is also preloaded with shortcuts to blogs and social networking phenomenon, Facebook. It is due to hit the market this Christmas, expected to be between free and £50 on contracts upwards of £45 a month."
Coolsha thats the quoe im talking about.
Also what browser will the K850 use, the k800s browser is pretty lame.

@bav -
the webbrowser is Access NetFront 3.4 at the moment. Might get updated later on.
Q4 is always being said as being the "Christmas quarter". That's probably why that reporter writes for the christmas sales
