Yes, the hand shakiness is one of the main causes. Also I played around with the different options: daylight, cloudy, and autofocus...finally get a few decent pics..check it out. So I guess so far I'm pretty OK with this pic quality  , will play around some more and update later on. Thanks guys!

that sign was at downtown NY, believe it or not...I went to Chinatown right after taking that pic..and guess what..people actually park there...I guess they don't think after all
