Is the keypad the only way to know what type the t68 is?

No, because keypads can be replaced.
You can checkout the label inside the phone or if the label is not there, see if it supports chinese character input.

that's the T68ie - the chinese-market equivalent of the T68i
if you got your phone from sources other than the your SP, semicon, SESS, wintelcom, and that new shop at SM N. Edsa (besides the siemens shop), then they are T68i units - models that are intended for the local market. Kung GH, HK, MY or SG, malamang mga mc or ie yan.

@gowin- you mean at the back of the fon? It says t68m. And at the language setting, it supports malaysia and indonesia. What do you think my t68 is? Can i upgrade it to r6? Kc sabi sa semicon podium baka lang ma-corrupt! It doesnt have warranty kc i bought at gh. Thanks!

seems like a t68m. why do you want to upgrade your phone? FW upgrades has certain risks, if you're not experiencing any problem, you dont really need to get one |

thanks GOwin/neilgoth...my unit is t68ie(chinese input in my language settings) anyway, as Liezel said, they have the upgrade!
btw, is there any disadvantages? T68ie? compared to T68i? thanks again.. |
