We would have won the series had the chennai (madras) odi not rained away... We thrashed the lankans and i believe won 8 of the last 11 matches played.. Good enough for a young team.. And whats wrong in being tigers at home..

@whizzkid: Don't fool yourself...that 6-1 thrashing of the Lankans suggested something was wrong with the islanders. If you can come to SA and win or draw a series I'll take my hat off or better still I'll buy you a creaky Indicar

to Jap engines, they're unbreakable! A few years ago I had an 1.8l Toyota. When it was stolen it had 544000km on it, and the only engine parts i'd replaced had been the usual wear-and-tear items: clutch and pressure plate, brake pads, etc. Although i'm in the process of buying a new car I'm driving another Toyota a.t.m. with 435000km on the clock, with no signs of quitting either.

@dr_thug: Car theft has come down from the high levels of the 90s...even if you're car is hijacked the chances are good that it will be tracked down by GPS if you've got the system installed.
@All: Yesterday I saw one of the worst movies: Mama Jack...I seriously don't get why South Africa thinks Leon Schuster is funny, he's an embarassment. The movie should not be in a cinema, it should go straight to video or better still broadcast at 1am on a Sunday morning just after the porn on e.tv.

@Brix, thy shall not tempt the Kryptik One™ (batteries not included), aforesaid Krypsta being very susceptible to the call of climes unexplored On the cards for the foreseeable future, a trip up to the Vic Falls, including but not limited to Namibia, Swaziland, etc. Always been a dream to see as much of Southern Africa as possible.
On the subject of auto theft, the Krypsta grew up in a rather unsavoury neighbourhood, and saw his fair share of the inside of police transport I know of quite a few methods of breaking into cars undetected, should anybody be interested

@ kryptik,
I'm sure we can trust you to keep those rather unsavoury 'trade' secrets as very closely guarded secrets,to ensure that that knowledge doesn't fall on the wrong ears.
Except,of course, if one of us accidentally does something dof enough like locking the car with the keys inside and not having the spare key close by...
Then it'll probably be 'SOS-PM Kryptik' for a few kryptik clues...!!

Just got news that Vodacom have finally succumbed to the demands of their customers and introduced prepaid data bundles which should be available on December 1st. Hopefully it will be cheaper that MTN's which is anything between R1-R1.50/MB.
Earlier this week I complained about the intermittent GPRS signal, seemingly I'm not the only one that's been experiencing the problem.
@bongzino: It IS really THAT bad Ok, I think "Crazy Monkey presents Straigh out of Benoni" was worst- only because there was no script and one got the feeling that the guys did have any coherent ideas as to where the movie should go. In the case of "Mama Jack" there's a script and some sort of a plot but it feels stale and contrived...the jokes fall flat each time....Leon Schuster lacks originality, I loved his earlier movies of the 80s because they were funny and political in a "not-too-obvious" way but these days he seems to live off Mr Bones(which incidently I didn't watch)

i sometimes wonder if it isn't possible to petition the Higher Powers to request the extension of the number of hours in a day- 24 just don't seem enough. Thank heavens normality will return from next Tuesday when i go on leave :-)
