I do not think so. Card has nothing to do with the reception. However, whether the phone # is GSM or GSM1800 base do determine how good the coverage you get.
I notice Ericsson phone typically is very slow in switching between base station. My experiance with T600 is worse. It never get switch back to base station until you next enter into weak coverage area! |

juz for your reference!! dun bambard me okie.
singtel is slashing the 7250 at 398 with any plan sign up.
and dun need to trade in.which means that trading in a 8850 will only cost 198. so where will the T610 stands>?as far as u all know , nokia user are mostly fashion creeps and does not know much abt the phone function like ericsson user does. maybe this is why nokia have high mkt share in here.
SE definitely will be losing out it mkt share almost immediately.
not to compare the 65k(am i right to say that) vs 4096 and bluetooth function.maybe the phone had some problem as it is selling cheap but i still think it is very tempting for consumers.or whether singtel is trying to increase it mkt position.
and there is also a BT set for nokia selling at 188(correct me if i'm wrong) which is 1.5times of HBH60.
wonder what will be the T610 position the phone to be like.
my point is if SE had come out with T610 earlier maybe the mkt share will be Theirs.
i think the good thing is price will be down if not for T610 if not only SE supporters will buy.and also BT set will mostly probably goes down too. seeing nokia selling their BT set so cheap.
i know asia is dominate by nokia and SE in europe but if they dun do something to it i think SE might be out as in here as it is not making a profit from here.
and we all will have to change to .............???????
pls comment only hor dun bombard me.

Hi P800, At last someone is sharing my view. I have to agree Nokia Mktg strategy is strong and aggresive whereas I felt SE is a bit conservative. I think Nokia knew that there will be a lot of competitors
phones launching within this few months and they have the most models among all. So they have to capture the market first before
others. As what you said is correct, most of the phone users are fashion creeps. How many of them appreciates bluetooth? It is the outlook that counts. And you also noticed now Nokia has come out
very trend designer phones. Look at 3650, though a lot of ppl said it is ugly, but they are taking the old fashion ground line phone dial and turn it into a fashion on the 3650. A rememberance of our "Ah Kong Ah mah" phone 20 yrs ago. This is a break through. They are daring to change a new concept on their phone. And they are willing to lower the selling price to attract the consumers. From the Mktg view of point, it will be successful. Btw, could I be wrong, the $398 offer on 7250 you have to sign ST premium plan and not any plan.

nokia user are mostly fashion creeps and does not know much abt the phone function like ericsson user does. <-- I totally agree! I have a couple of friends who own a 7650... 7210... 3650...6610... 6100... BUT they don't even use half of the features of the mobile (not that the n*kia phones has a lot of features compared to SE mobiles :þ)
T610 T68m(i) Lunar Grey N*kia 2100 (i finally bought a n*kia becoz it was darn cheap for a spare phone) |
