Thats not good. Some times new release phones come with bugs ... if we are among the first buyers ... we will be at a disadvantage. Now who would want to buy list and later to realise that it is full of bugs and it cost money to upgrade

As far as I can recall, I never had a SE phine without bugs. My last T600 takes 3 replacement and 4 software upgrade. Finally it just end up ecome a expensive alarm clock (luckly it never failed to work as alarm clock) ! Just think of how many trip I have to take time off just to go down to a service point that is out from reach from city area. |

Hey guys, I think I've got a problem and I need your help! My friend has a T200 and I have a R600 and both are on Singtel lines!
Currently the T200 with my friend's simcard seems to perform very badly with only 1 or 2 bars of reception!
My R600 with my sim card works at full bar at the same location!
We switch cards and the receptions on the T200 is at full with my card but the R600 is at 1-2 bars only!
The question I would like to ask is wheather is it the phones problems or my friend's sim card's fault! If its the cards fault, is it possible to get a replacement from Singtel without changing the line's number?

cwchee>- It seems like dairin said is correct. Yes, you can change a new sim card and will not affect your current phone number. But you have to pay for the sim card, can't really remember the price. But confidentially, you try to put the blamed on the card fault when you talk to the service counter, make some Hoo Haa, tell them you want to talk to their supervisor or manager. When I did this, I got it for free. (But when you talk to the manager, talk to him politely and reason things with them)

Though the upgrading sw is free. But it has to be fair to the SC to make some money on the services. Just like buying a car, when u send to their workshop for servicing, not only you hv to pay for the material used for you car and also you hv to pay for their workmanships charges. How much is it it is up to the SC to quote you, SE will not interfere.

But if you buy a new car and it is faulty they do replacement or servicing. Some even do recall for faults.
But I guess its a commercial decision. We just have to bear with it if we want any upgrades for our SE phones. ;p

Btw, the charges on upgrading only applicable to expired warranty phones. Those under warranty phones will still be getting free upgrading.

acidfusion>- The nearest SC for you will be the GoldHill Service Centre.
Opposite Novena MRT Station beside the Shell Station same block with
the used car showroom.
T610 tentatively will be out ard May, maybe late or maybe earlier. Pending for IDA approval.
