I'm curious if that TechRadar review is based on the 14 firmware or the 16 firmware. In any case, from the content of the review, the reviewer seems to be trying too hard to find negative things about the X10. I mean, the LEDs between the hardware buttons are annoying at night? come on now...
FEDEX still hasn't knocked on my door and the tracking page still hasn't updated I'm hoping that since it's overnight, maybe the tracking page didn't get a chance to update. I seem to remember it happened once or twice with me before, but I can't be sure. I suppose it's just wishful thinking and hoping that my X10 will come today.
if it's overnite it should arrive before 12pm tick tock tick tock.. it can't come soon enough eh? hope you enjoy ur phone i'm loving my x10a ~ especially after flashing it with x10i fw ~ still looking for chinese ime pad input though |

@Icrkz0023 - PMed ya.
@wai_lai - did you follow the tutorial found on here on ESATO when you debranded to the X10i firmware? I was thinking of doing the same. My only concern was whether 3G would still work, but since you say it does, I'm all for it I want the latest firmware and from what I hear, the Rogers branding slows the performance a bit.
@se_dude - agreed... and i hope to enjoy mine soon!

yes i did work like a charm ~ took me a while to find the repair button though ~ it's under support zone in pc companion and you have to click the update the phone software icon for the repair button to show up ~~ the whole process took about 5mins and it works great. and i do notice it a bit more responsive dunno about battery life yet as i had it plugged in the usb the entire time ~ still charging |

fedex still doesn't have the package yet so it's not even available for pick up. it will be delivered tomorrow morning. no worries. i can handle one more day. i sure as hell have plenty to do... getting it today would have just been a very, very tempting distraction

Timescape is a bit gimmicky, it's too slow and kind of useless, plus the widget is is of poor quality and too large, I've abandoned using it. Mediascape is far more useful, it starts up much faster then Timescape as well and it does a nice job, it also has a nice feature of showing your online albums from Facebook and Picasa, both of which I use (it does not do Flickr, which is fine with me since I don't care for Flickr). My only gripe with the online albums is that it doesn't save the album thumbnails on the phone, so when you go to an online album and go back it has to download all the album thumbs again. I got my phone for $512 in Chicago at Overseas electronics, $570 after you add the 10.25% tax, still cheaper then anything I found on Ebay. |

Do you know why i only got about 465 mb free of internal memory when i turned on my Xperia X10 for the first time? Shouldn't i get 1 GB free?
Thanks!

Yeah, Timescape looks pretty but I'm having trouble finding a use for it and it can be slow when updating. I use Seesmic for Twitter, don't care that much for Facebook (though I have the Facebook app if I need it), and prefer to view my emails and call history in their respective apps.
Mediascape is indeed more useful, though it too can be a bit slow at times. SE needs to add a lock screen interface for it to really shine as a music player, and support for other codecs would be helpful in making it a killer video player. In the mean time I'm using bTunes for my music, which is lightning fast.

You shouldn't have a gig free, where would the operating system and programs like Timescape & Mediascape reside? |
