If I use a C905 (without the "i") I can still use global 3G networks right? I really need that HSDPA! Lol. |

Has anybody noticed that the d-pad i a bit less responsive when clicking it on direction "down"? I didn't notice it until today so i don't know if it has been there all the time. As long as it's not getting worse i will keep this unit but i only have until tomorrow(DOA) to test if it gets worse.

SE don't put the 'i' on the end anymore. So the C905 (without the 'i') is the international version.
The ones you likely want to avoid are the C905a (America) and C905c (China).

To be honest I've not had any problems with the D Pad at all. There are two things that annoy me a little bit.
When typing some keys have more feedback than others. The "2" key has less feedback than the rest, and the top row is much harder to press.
Also the top half of the phone rocks on it's slider when you press the D Pad to the right. Anyone else noticed that?

I see. I do believe we have a case of some poor build quality i some cases.
I guess that's to be excpected.
Will you return your phone for a new one befor DOA runs out?
I won't. I'll wait and hope it doesn't get worse.

Fullforce, I haven't experienced any unresponsiveness from the dpad. All front buttons feel very solid.
Marty, I am experiencing some slider rocking. Its lower end can be skewed a little bit sideways both open and closed, but feels pretty firm in everyday usage.
Please guys, tell me about your lens cover. Does it easily move around a little and rattle when touched in its closed position? Mine does and it irritates me.
I also only have one more day for DOA return claiming slider rocking and lens cover looseness being defects. |

Can someone please tell me if they have been able to use the DLNA feature with a PS3 or XBOX 360 also I believe WMP11 would be able to detect the C905 on the network as well. To my knowlage this is the first phone that does this and no one seems to be taking advantage of it.
This would be great if someone could poist there experience with this feature
thanks in advance. |

The slider rocking is low end for me too. I don't really see it as a defect, just a design fault. It's not as if it feels like it's going to fall off, just annoying sometimes.
The lens cover is easy to move on mine, and I guess it'll be the same on every handset. Just the way they are. It doesn't slide open on it's own or anything, it's just not very stiff. I just find these things irritating, more than a fault.

It's not just that it is easy (not stiff) to open, in closed position it can be moved around in all (four) directions a little bit. I take it yours is the same as mine then. |
