Yes i have this display delay since a long time ago ! And other old bug, when i write email and send it, the other side receive some garbage at the end of it : various letters all characters u can imagine ! 5 or 6 lines full

"As I've mentioned before, I recently updated from R1L002 (to R1AA008). With my old FW I could zoom into any picture in my phone, but with the new one if an image larger than 1632pixels wide and/or 1224pixels tall, then no zoom function is available.
This is a pain, as I used to enjoy showing off to my friends by taking a panoramic picture then zooming in & scrolling across. This is no longer possible as the resulting panoramic picture is 1648x432 pixels!!"
I've written to SE but dont expect a reply for a while...

Is the filesize of the picture quite large? The delay might be the phone loading the image, like when browsing in the file manager. Maybe try a smaller image, and/or resize the one you have to 176x220. |

wow! just been listneing to some of my music on my k750 with r1aa008 firmware and the quality and clearness of the music is amazing! its so clear, and to sound like that coming out of such a small speaker is unbelievable!!!

What type of contact picture do you use.
Have you resized to correct contact picture size or are you just using a full size camerapicture for caller ID ?
If you use a full size 2mp camerapicture it could easily take a second for the phone to load and rescale the picture everytime it has to display it as caller ID.
Caller ID's should be cropped/resized to 162x146 pixels and saved as jpg for highest compression and smallest filesize, and should be placed in phonememory, not on memorycard.
A sidenote: everything that has to do with the phones functions, should be stored in phonememory, ringtones, themes, caller ID (contact pictures), to ensure they are allways available for the phone even if the memorycard is not accessable, and to optimise for fastest acces. Memorycard should only hold things like musicfiles, games, pictures, videos.

Final s and all lower-case characters have been supported in SE phones since the T28. Inputing them might be a problem. Check PM |

I agreed with you that the sound is more clear and crisp and the sound coming out from the speaker is better. However, I think the sound quality using the Walkman earpieces is like from a cheap MP3 player! I used R1L002 before and the MP3 sound quality was much richer and better. Anyone agrees with me? Can I have SE service center flash my phone back to R1L002? |

Er since i upgraded my phone to R1AA008 my pictures are coming out funny. This one was taken 2mins ago.

Hey guys, i have recently tried to upgrade my firmware, but it keeps stopping on the second last bar................any ideas how to complete the last bar? before it gives me an error message? |

@BadBoy8: I've had the same problem until today, what I did was to master reset the phone, unistall the SEUS2 client (and after that go to C:\Program Files\Sony Ericsson\Update Service and delete that folder) reinstall the SEUS2 client version 2.2.11b.
After the upgrade I've do the master reset again because my phone wasn't showing all the languages but only the english.
Motorola microtac -> Nokia 6120 -> Ericsson T10s -> Siemens C35i ->  Z200 -> Motorola V300 ->  W800i R1BC002 -> W810i R4CE012 W810 power!!!  |

I have no problems with pictures after upgrade to R1AA008
In fact they seem to be slightly improved under certain conditions, and I think I know why.
I just noticed, more or less by accident by looking at exif data, that R1AA008 now uses Center Weighted Average metering instead of just Average metering as used on previous firmwares. Its a development of average metering and an improved way of metering the light as compared to just average metering.
Standard Average metering measure the lighting in the whole of the image sensor’s area. Then finds an average of all the light, which hits the image sensor and then calculates the exposure from this.
Center Weighted Average metering basically does the same, but with more emphasis on the area in the center of the image where the object you want to photograph is usually located and usually more lit than the surrounding. This gives a better more precise exposure balance between the object and the surroundings. It increases the quality of the centered lit object, and at the same time decrease the level of noise in the darker surroundings.

PS: They are slightly out of focus as I couldent get the actors to stand still, they kept moving despite my protesting 
Furthermore, I was standing behind the crowd, so I had to raise the phone above my head to take the pictures, and couldent really see what I was doing.

By master reset u mean HARD master reset (Reset all)??
after doing this u didn't encounter the "script error" message anymore???or despite the error message ,after the reset u got ur languages back??? |
